Comments Thread For: UFC's White: I'd Bless Mayweather-McGregor - Not as Boxing Match

Dana White, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is pretty firm on the rules for a fantasy fight between UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs).

And I'd pay for it..... Not as a boxing match...

    How about round 1 boxing
    Round 2 MMA
    And so on.....

Mcgregor survives round 1 then caves in Floyds face with a kick in round 2...

Of course he has no problem with boxers coming into MMA fighting and losing so it makes his brand look better. Why put McGregor in a boxing match where he would be made to look as silly as boxers do when they try MMA?

in a mma match the fight would be over in round 1 in conor's favor.

in a boxing match knowing floyd, this might go all 12 rounds to a decision win for floyd. 12-0.

why not just allow kicks and hands but no ground game ? sounds fair right? it will be boxing vs kickboxing.

That's exactly why this fight makes zero sense. No matter which scenario you choose the fighter entering the other guys wheel house will get schooled. The only difference is that if they went the mma route Mayweather could get hurt badly. This is just a way to keep their names in the press. This fight never happens.

amazing how he never allows his fighters to fight in boxing matches and always wants boxers to fight under MMA rules

I remember when he refused to let Roy Jones fight Anderson Silva
