doesn't Wlad have another fight left on his HBO contract?[/QUOTE]

I have no idea. The way it was explained is that Showtime will get this fight and HBO will get the rematch. Depending on how this fight goes the rematch might be better than the original. It's high risk but also high reward

The boxing world gets unified behind a single night of fights, on a single channel, and the sporting world gets to see what a big fight weekend looks like (if Golovkin doesn't cross over, Jacobs fights for the full title against the next best WBA contender, and HBO tries to salvage the date by either putting up the money to lockdown Saunders for the date or simply letting Golovkin fight another soft touch, hoping that the HBO spin machine lures eyeballs away).

The bid is going to be interesting
If they put Mikey on the card and GGG-Jacobs they may as well move it to L.A.!!! GUARANTEED SELLOUT. And not those $10 ticket sellouts.

        That makes sense then.

Rematch is a summer fight at a stadium.

Don't matter which Network I'm not missing this one. Wish it was a way they could start the event in Primetime here in the US because I think Ratings would do great even on Showtime but of course the time difference make that almost impossible

Lol I highly doubt there will be a rematch with AJ-Wlad. If Wlad wins, it will show AJ was fighting him too early in his career and would be not worth risking potentially getting 2 losses to 40 year old Wlad on his resume, and if AJ will win (most likely if he does by TKO or KO), I just don't see Wlad at 41 coming back for another crack at it.

Yeah that is true, early fights allow you to get on with the rest of your Saturday

With Joshua-Klitschko on Showtime as the matinee, Showtime is going to use a pretty big fight card for the evening.

With Dec 10th as the working date, and Joshua-Klitschko in the afternoon, what's a bigger night of fights than Golovkin-Jacobs, Zlaticanin-Garcia, Charlo-Williams as a tripleheader from Barclays Center? lol
