Lol Hagler is 5'8 and GGG is 5'9. You gave one of the worse analysis that I have ever seen on why a guy, who has only 36 wins over not one good quality opponent, beats an extremely proven ATG in Marvin Hagler. Golovkin got shook by Kell Brook. Hagler would have chewed Brook up and spit him out in 3 or less.
Don't even think about bringing up Leonard...
Really? LMFAO!!! GGG shook by kell brook. NO!! He got hit with a few nice shots, Shook not close. Whos face was broke in 2 rounds. People please quit posting so much BS.
-Sugar Ray Robinson: Too fast, too strong, too skilled, when GGG discovered the power and speed of Lemeiux, he choose to box him, but he can't outbox Ray, Ray would box around him all night and if GGG chooses to go toe a toe, Ray's speed would explode every opening. Ray by TKO or decision.
-Marvin Hagler: The chin and toughness to take the best of GGG, and much better boxer that is given credit for, southpaw and with a great jab and footwork i can see him outboxing GGG.
-Carlos Monzon: You can't take Monzon out of his gameplan, and GGG can't walk trough him, Monzon would stick to his great 1-2 and would outbox GGG. Monzon Decision.
-James Toney: GGG is made for Toney, no more to say. Toney wide decision or TKO (will see how GGG's chin holds up at a higher level).
-Roy Jones: GGG great footwork is his best weapon against Jones, but Roy is smart, everytime Gennady let his hands go, Roy would counter-punch him, everytime, i just can't see a fighter with slow feet beating Jones. Jones wide decision.
-Chris Eubank: Eubank was unbreakable, so GGG beating him to death is out of conversation, it's kinda clear that Eubank possesses fast, compact and undetectable punches that would give GGG hell, Eubank close Decision.
-Bernard Hopkins: Like with Toney, Hopkins love that kind of fighters, but GGG is fairly skilled so i don't think Hopkins puts a schooling on this one, B-HOP close Decision.
-Michael Nunn: His footwork was spectacular, he was almost a perfect fighter, the same Jones would do to GGG, Nunn by decision.
-Gerald McClellan: His chin was too good to be real, he was also faster, stronger and probably a harder puncher than GGG, G-MAN by KO.
-Mike McCallum: Just too skilled for almost everyone, you have to outbox McCallum, is the only way and GGG isn't out-boxing him. Mike by decision.
Great post.
Expect this to be ignored, on the grounds that they lost and GG is unbeaten.
You think GG is the best MW of all time because of how swimming and sprinting have progressed.
Pathetic.
Again, if boxing progressed in the same way, then today's fighters would be classed as the best fighters in each division.
Who believes that to be true?
Today's HW's are no better than the best HW's of the 70's, 80's and 90's.
Stop talking bollocks that makes people hate on GG.
you are mentally deranged.
Joe Frazier was 205 lbs soaking wet and 5'11. today's HW's are 250 lb 6'8 giants.
how come the 6'0 200 lb heavies don't rule anymore? and haven't ruled since Lennox Lewis. Cus there are no more 5'11 black guys anymore? the talent pool has improved you menstruating female. think logically.
just LOL @ 5'10 Tyson even being a top 10 contender today. Governor Vitali would palm Tyson's head with one hand and beat him with the other.
Go and find me just ONE person who thinks that Glen Johnson would have beaten Roy at his best.
The version of Roy who fought Glen was still shell shocked after his crushing defeat to Tarver. I love Glen. And I give him a lot of credit. But he was in the right place at the right time.
If you're looking at a fantasy fight between Roy and GG, then focus on Roy when he was prime at MW-SMW.
Roy was bigger than GG at MW. He had a reach advantage and was huge at the weight.
He had a huge advantage in speed.
He was much harder to hit with his unorthadox defence.
He had great athleticism, and a great variety of shots in his arsenal, which included one punch knockout power in either hand.
I love GG. But he's easy to hit and he marks up.
There's no way you could favour him over Roy at MW, based on how Glen Johnson beat him at 35, after having 50 plus fights that included coming back from HW.
Yes, GG is strong and he cuts the ring off. But Glen Johnson was stronger than Roy and he had a 75" reach. Roy was bullied. But again, he was faded, coming off a devastating loss. According to his father, he just went through the motions in training. He signed for the fight less than a month after Tarver. And he did it because he was embarrassed. He just wanted a quick win ASAP to eradicate his loss to Tarver. But he wasn't ready both mentally and physically. GG would never have bullied Roy at 25, in the same manner that Glen did when he was 35. It's like comparing Mike of the mid 80's, to the versions of him from the late 90's-early 00's. You're talking about 2 completely different fighters.
lol @ this mangina talking about emotional turmoil again. Oh roy's father said he was hurt. Oh roy was psychologically damaged like I was when my uncle touched me. i don't realize all that only makes me mentally weak. - RobertZimmerman
the emotional turmoil of the mangina aside.
The fact is Glen Johnson is more battle worn than Roy 7 losses vs 1 loss for Roy.
Glen Johnson is also older.
Roy got dominated up to the KO. Styles make fights. the facts back me. all you have are emotional opinoins.
Really? LMFAO!!! GGG shook by kell brook. NO!! He got hit with a few nice shots, Shook not close. Whos face was broke in 2 rounds. People please quit posting so much BS.
Mayweather says Golovkin got exposed and so does nearly if not every fighter that talks about the fight. So you are the one posting so much BS.

Ray Robinson in his prime lost to Jake Lamotta. Knocked through the ropes. Lamotta Who was a short mentally unwell italian with short reach, pillow fists and a melon head. GGG would smother Ray Robinson similar but knock him out for the count. Bigger, faster, harder puncher and much better skills.
Marvin Hagler in his prime was beaten by Willie Monroe. Hagler's best wins are over WW's. he lost to some and went life and death with some. extremely overrated. GGG is bigger, harder puncher and more skilled. Hagler only has inside fighting, GGG would just stay at long range with his jab and outbox Hagler if he so chose.
Monzon was beaten in his prime by argentinian goat herders. end of discussion.
James Tony. PED roid cheat. even at that he lost to absolute bums in his prime. inconsistent.
RJJ. PED roid cheat + disgraceful glass jaw. facts. Also could get smothered. Glen Johnson showed how. GGG is a bad stylistic match up.
Chris Eubank got beat by Steve Collins twice. that's right. who the hell is Steve Collins?
Michael Nunn is a glass jawed joke. if only GGG can box as well as this bum. 25-17 http://boxrec.com/boxer/543
G-man McClellan got literally beaten into a wheelchair. he is not physically wired right for a fight with GGG. i fear much worse damage.
