Golovkin got shook by Kell Brook. Hagler would have chewed Brook up and spit him out in 3 or less.

Don't even think about bringing up Leonard...
and wheres this myth of golovkin getting shook from brook come from? Cant just make up that he got shook lol, heard a few posters say this now as if its fact

      Hagler
      Monzon
      Sugar Ray Robinson

Then I could honestly pick another group of guys where I would be uncertain of the result.

      Ray Leonard
      Duran
      Hearns
      Pavlik
      Eubank Snr
      Nigel Benn
      Jake Lamotta
      Julian Jackson
      Arthur Abraham
      Jermain Taylor
      Sergio Martinez
      Felix Trinidad
      Michael Watson
      Errol Graham
      Mike McCallum

Its up to GGG to make that list smaller - not mine or anyone else. He literally hasn't fought anyone yet - so this whole thread is FAR too hypothetical. Even some of the names on my list, in time they may prove to be farcical, they might not. But when GGG's current best win is Kell Brook, an elite welterweight today, but historically nothing special - then that makes threads like this premature and purely based on assumption more than anything else.

He has lots of title defences and that is bringing him in to a bit of a problem as far as his historical standing, because for whatever reason, a lot of it not his own fault, he hasn't yet fought anyone, and that is a detriment to his legacy.
      fair enough, good balanced post

Bernard Hopkins has the style and the chin to convincingly beat GGG, wouldn't be a pretty fight though. The reason why I favor Hopkins is because of his pro boxing rough house tactics, GGG has been beating fighters using his amateur background and power, never really fought a true rough professional like Hopkins who can neutralize him andcontrol distance against him. Think of Lomachenk vs Salido for example.

Lol Golovkin 5'9? Check the Face offs, Martin Murray was 6 feet tall but Golovkin looks like about as the same height. And Hagler is listed as 5'9 evidenced by their face off against Leonard who is 5'10. Golovkin will be the bigger man against Hagler, and has more power.

The answer is some ppl in their absolute prime would have given GGG a tough fight, but the real answer is, overall GGG would win, because his prime is consistent and still going at almost 35. He is as good, maybe even better as he was 10 years ago, at 25 years. So overall GGG is the superior fighter, since most of the named fighters had a very short prime.

yeah i'd favour GGG against them all. Hagler and jones jr would be tough fights but think he could edge it against hagler and he'd crack jones jrs chin at some point. As for people saying hopkins would beat him, jesus christ do me a favour, guy lost to jermain taylor twice

                I haven't seen Dempsey Nonpareil.

I haven't seen Greb because there is no footage but if you want to say he wasn't good go ahead but just know you will expose yourself as the dumbest boxing fan on the planet.

Canelo is 5'7 barely and Golovkin is only a little bit taller than him.

Antuofermo is 5'7"-8" and Hagler is near the same height as him

Almost all boxers heights today are wrong. Jacobs is as tall as Golovkin and Golovkin is not 6ft.

Go watch the fight. Also, someone has/had a gif in their sig of Brook hitting GGG with an Uppercut and Golovkin got rocked off his feet.

Some guy called Amar Amari buzzed Golovkin up early in his career, 12th or 13th fight. It wasn't a big deal but definitely wobbled and shows he isn't what everyone makes him out to be, which is some indestructible monster. He has proven his chin since that fight, but clearly if hit correctly he will be hurt, and/or maybe dropped.

I think he is definitely in more danger against Jacobs and Canelo than people realise.
