Hopkins and Hagler for sure.
Name a 160 fighter in history that could beat GGG?

100% serious. today's talent pool is bigger than ever before.
the game has progressed just like with every other sport. records are made to be broken. athletes get better. it's as simple as that.
GGG is the most excellent champion in MW history. He never lost to and drew with bums unlike other MW champions of the past. and he's only fighting top 10 contenders with less than 10 losses.
Nobody could be this ignorant.
No, boxing hasn't progressed like some other sports have.
Just stop.
If you're trolling, it's really not funny.
If you're serious, then wow. You're clueless.
I'm a big fan of GG, but nuts like you is why he gets hated on.
The most excellent MW in history?
No.
Shut up you clown.Comment

not joking mate, golovkins as dominant a champ as theres been in the divisions history. Leonard and roy jones would give him problems but i'd fancy GGG to get to them eventually and force a stoppage, hagler would be a war, and he'd beat hopkins easy, as many other fighters have done
Bernard is 6'1, with a 75" reach.
He was a very good MW.
Although GG would definitely have had a shot at beating him, it wouldn't have been easy.
This is where you let yourself down the most.
You are fast becoming one of the worst posters on NSB.Comment

RJJ was on PEDs. this is a fact.
Even on PED's I'd favor GGG to land a bomb on that glass chin over 12 rounds.
Without PED's, I don't see RJJ doing better than Willie Monroe Jr. RJJ off the roids got 1 punched by Tarver and Glen Johnson. B class fighter and a journeyman.
It's cringeworthy.Comment

watch this fight. Glenn Johnson was beating RJJ up to the KO.
Stylistically, GGG is a nightmare for Roy. Glen Johnson is like a crude, bum, pillowfisted version of GGG. Watch how Glen crowded Roy and didn't give him space to work. Roy was finished as an ambush fighter. he needed the space. Glen just devoured him. Notice Glen didn't even go to the body as much as GGG would on them ropes and in the corners.
He beats RJJ far easier than some other greats. Hagler and Hopkins would put up a better fight. GGG is a stylistic nightmare for Roy. Granite chin. KO power in both hands. most importantly he can crowd Roy ..... much better than Glen Johnson.
Using Glen Johnson as evidence as to why GG would have beaten Roy at his prime at MW?
Ha!
Seriously?
That's like analysing how Danny Williams beat Mike Tyson, to put forward a case for how one of today's HW's could have beaten him.

very long time.
here i'll logically break things down for you. The Olympics, old records do not stand. Because athletes get better, nutrition get better, talent pool becomes bigger. this is a simple fact.
back in the 70's, boxing was only an american sport(north and south). now it's a global sport with much more amateur prospects from Europe, Asia etc. This is a fact.
American boxing prospects has grown as well because the same demographics like blacks and latinos have grown in #'s. They are still broke too, so it's not like they are the ***s or Italians who are going to school to work now. Blacks are still pursuing athletics and fighting in the streets) except with better nutrition now and better skills due to better film footage to study.
the MW greats.
Hagler lost to Willie Monroe caliber of fighters in his prime. this is a fact. GGG plays with that level of talent.
Monzon lost to and drew with absolute bums. GGG doesn't do that.
2 established facts of history.
worse athletes. smaller talent pool to draw from.
all those MW greats lost to bums in their primes.
GGG is the result of the largest talent pool without any losses. Period. He is the heads on favorite against anybody in MW history.
Why is he the heads on favourite over any MW in history?
Based on boxrec stats?
You must Big Drama's alt.
Surely we're not unlucky enough to have 2 ignorant simpletons on the same thread.Comment

There is no sense.
Yes, there's been huge advancements in nutrition and sports science etc.
Yes, today's swimmers and sprinters are the fastest/best of all time.
Those sports progress each decade.
Boxing doesn't.
Otherwise, today's MW's would be the best MW's of all time.
Today's HW's would be the best HW's of all time.
Today's best fighters would be THE best fighters of all time.
Clearly that's not the case.
Boxing does not progress each decade.
Today's top MW's are nowhere near as good as the top MW's of the early 90's. And that just pi$$es all over his ridiculous theory.Comment

"Joe Calzaghe never came close to losing a fight"
"GG is the hardest punching MW of all time"
"Nobody could ever have beaten Joe Calzaghe at SMW"
The boxrec king, who disrespects fighters he knows nothing about, and who debates on stats.
You're an absolute embarrassment.
I honestly hope that you're just trolling for a joke. And I genuinely mean that. Because of you're serious, I pity you.Comment
