That's cool to see a legend like Mayweather showing respect to another legend Pacquiao.

He would have fought him earlier but Pacquiao made a big stink about wanting to do drug testing.

Arum knew Pac was never good enough to beat Floyd. It's why Team Pac ran for five years.

I think Floyd always had respect for Pac the fighter. He clearly was VERY annoyed that so many put Manny on his level (IMO he didn't belong there) because they didn't like Floyd for whatever reason.

if he had respect for pac "the fighter" then he wouldnt diss manny regardless of what people say about him. to diss someone based on what people is saying means you dont have respect for the guy.

floyd should be attacking those people who put pac in the same level as him if he doesnt feel manny is in the same league as him. you dont diss a fighter just based off what people is saying about the guy. that shows you have no respect for that guy.

Much of what was aid was hyping/building interest in a fight. The part that wasn't IMO stemmed from his anger mentioned in my post.

Like many truly great athletes, Floyd got offended that someone not on his level was placed on his level. He handled that anger poorly and in a childish manner.

He did. He has called out Bernanrdo Osuna, ODH, HBO, ESPN, Skip and anyone else that picked Manny to win or said he was as good as Floyd.

If your point is Floyd could've handled it better, ok I agree. That said, he said what he did then went out and beat Manny like he said he would.

To the victor goes the spoils.
