Yea yiur remembered wrong. He did in fact leave the ring upset. The scores were off and I'm sure that upset cotto more on top of losing. After he recovered cotto unequivocally stated the Floyd won. I just rewatched the fight for the first time since seeing it live. I scored it 7-5 Mayweather. Call me crazy but Floyd nor manny did anything, I gave some rounds to manny strictly on pushing the action and landing a shot or two while he threw combinations. Floyd landed some crisp shots here and there but the dude didn't land a 2 punch combo all night. What a dreadful fight it was....
The second round I gave to manny but I guess it could have went to Floyd to make it 8-4... Hardly a masterclass as some call it, the guy barely did enough to win. Making a guy miss while not landing your own shots is hardly a masterclass...Comment

Floyd might've won, but it will always go down as controversial. Which calls for a rematch to settle the beef.
When I watched a couple rounds I gave for Floyd, in slo mo I realized Pac actually landed more punches (and harder) so my end view the one who hurt more in the hurt business is the true winner. landed the harder punches and did damage. And Floyd definitely did not deserve to win, throwing 1 punch at a time, backpeddling, seeming like he did not want to fight, as he own dad said. But if anyone deserved to win it was Pac, but a draw ould have beens fair. Its unfortunately almost every fan that doesn't know better had the wool pulled over their eyes with the brutally biased commentating. And it wasn't surprising to me in the least when Pac said he thought he won the fight. Floyd running from a smaller man in the biggest fight of his career was pretty pathetic. If that was supposed to be Floyds career defining fight, it didn't say much about him, whatsoever. If anything, showed he's definitelydoes not look like the winner at all.
Pacquiao landed MORE punches overall than Mayweather. That alone would probably win most fights BUT Mayweather isn't an offensive fighter (at all) and nobody cares...it's all about his defensive qualities and how he constantly makes guys miss. In this fight, Mayweather only landed 68 of 471 punches thrown which means Pacquaio MADE Mayweather miss ALLLLL night long, while landing 30 more punches than Mayweather. That CAN'T be right...i've missed something right??
May Pac was the worst thing that could happen to boxing, every casual bought that PPV and they realized boxing is Trash, boxing is horrible. You have one small, old guy who tried, and you have one bigger old guy who ran and won one of the worst stinkers in boxing history.
The problem is judges are scoring professional fights like amateur bouts. Professional boxing is about punishment plain and simple. 30 or 40 years ago mayweather's style couldn't have existed because refs would have called on all the holding+judges scored more on punishment.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. was freaking out in Floyd in the corner! Saying he needed to "Jump on his *" his whole corner thought he was behind in the fight.
Mayweather lost because he was running more than he was fighting and plus Manny was the aggressor countering Mayweather a lot. Mayweather had to hold Manny push his head away because he getting whooped with combinations and counter punches from Manny. I never in my life seen Mayweather get countered so much he usually do all of the countering.
Wow that's crazy manny beat Floyd with a torn shoulder and yet Floyd has balls to call himself TBE.[TruthExposed#]

@ 2:32 - Did Pacquiao win this fight? Honestly. Yes!
@ 2:34 - I think that the reason a lot of people don't see it that way is because of the commentating. It fooled a lot of people.
@2:48 - Mayweather was very good at pot shotting moving out controling the distance, if you take that away and you neutralize it, he looks like his landing catching those shots, but you hear Roy Jones saying he landed, but when you watch it again, he wasn't landing none of those shots.
@ 3:30 - I want to make it official, I watched the fight again, and I thought Manny Pacquiao won that fight when I watched it again.
