This right here! On the other hand I don't take very seriously GGG knocking out Kovalev with a body shot. Sure it shows that he's hell of a fighter and is a good thing for his team to mention when they want to hype him but it doesn't mean he would win against Kovalev in a real match. But the sentence I quoted is so true!

But thanks for your welcome, I was seriously thinking of deleting my account, but I will try to be more "brief" on my posts (right after that one)
For Jacobs I though he won his WBA title by defeated Quillin (so worked hard for 5 years to become world champ again after losing to Pirlog) but now of course I want him to face Golovkin and then the winner taking on Sanders... and if Golovkin beat Jacobs, Sanders, Canelo and the record of Hopkins I would like to see him fighting at 168... but as for the record of titles defenses: that will not change my point of view about who is (are) the greatest(s) middleweight of all time
And no doubt I also have a huge respect for Hopkins' accomplishment and longevity ("B-Hopgevity"?), and also for his smartness, boxing IQ, mental strength, self confidence, clean life (no alcohol, drugs or bad foods), mental games, life history after being in jail at a young age etc etc... he's an Alien!Comment

He didn't bring him up, he already had 2 fighters flake out on fighting him and homeboy just so happen to have enough balls to step up and fight GGG... He has to stay active, when people say they want to fight so badly and then bail when it's time to sign the contract is some B.S. Don't get into boxing if you wanna be a big pu**y!!! He wants to break dip****s record and unify the division and then I'm sure he will move up and break Ward's face afterward, sad part is that it's already about to get broken by Kovalev!!!Comment

Hahaha, actually you can have 6 world champions by classes (at least!), that's why not many can be "undisputed world champion" but Golovkin is really close...
But don't worry i want to see Ward beat Kovalev...
And once again for the "fkn idiots"
On the WBA site:
MIDDLEWEIGHT
WBA SUPER CHAMPION: GENNADY GOLOVKIN
WBA WORLD CHAMPION: DANIEL JACOBS
nah, that's bull****.....
champion
ˈtʃampɪən/Submit
noun
1.
a person who has surpassed all rivals in a sporting contest or other competition.
around about 50 years ago, when the second sanctioning organisation emerged..... everyone laughed, and most are still laughing
only new, mostly casual, fans accept/support/condone that mindless rubbish
how long have you been following this sport ?
And if you think that a single sanctioning body can have multiple "champions" within the same division..... then you are dumb as fk kidComment

You aren't very bright are you? Kell Brook couldn't make 147 anymore and was even struggling to make 160 in the GGG fight. GGG made weight easier than Kell - but Kell is going to 154. GGG doesn't even weigh 175 on his fight nights - it makes no sense to move up two weight divisions because anti-White racist haters online feel insecure to know that Canelo and Floyd both ducked GGG and Floyd ducked at 54' where he was undisputed champ.
you fkn dumbassComment

Abel is like bad karma for GGG. Not that good of a trainer, arrogant and talks a lot of nonsense. Pretty much the exact opposite of Golovkin the fighter.
Hopkins wasn't soundly beaten by Taylor. And to say he moved up to fight a guy with three losses as if that's some sort of criticism is like criticizing Manny Pacquiao for moving up to fight Marco Antonio Barrera. Hopkins moved up two divisions and fought Tarver, who was the lineal champ at 175, a consensus top 3-5 pound for pounder and was coming off a very impressive win over Glen Johnson. He was a huge favorite over Hopkins.
I don't see any reason why GGG should move to 175 but Abel Sanchez would do well to stop moving his lips.
great post !
comparing Hopkins to Golovkin, in any way, is ridiculous.Comment

I've been waiting for an opportunity to bring up something i've been dwelling on for months, and I think this is a good forum to present my concern. Hopkins and many others, including myself, have been asking GGG to make a move to 168, 175, etc. If Andre Ward is not just defeated by Kovalev, but beaten, it would be critical to his legacy, that he come back to 168 and face GGG! If Kovalev beats him, Beterbiev probably beats him, and Stevenson probably beats him! There's a big difference between losing and being beaten! Sullivan Barerra lost to Andre Ward. Julio Chavez Jr. was beaten by Andrezj Fonfara! If Andre Ward is beaten by Sergey Kovalev, he will NEED to face GGG, and will not have any of the leverage he had in 2013, 2014, or 2015! I wonder if Bernard Hopkins would agree?
I don't agree with that at all.
I don't agree that Ward needs Golovkin at all, for any reason whatsoever..... no way will Golovkin ever match Ward's resume, he won't even get close.
The guy who turned down 10mil to fight Canelo will never build a meaningful legacy..... he would have to take those fights, not refuse them.
I don't believe that Golovkin would ever fight Andre Ward.
Maybe, moving back down to 168, would depend on the manner of loss..... but if Ward loses to Kovalev then he needs to do what every other great fighter would do..... get back in line.
He would need to beat Stevenson, Beterbiev, and any other rated up-and-comer, to earn that rematch.Comment
