Yeah I agree, Danny Garcia is a good fighter who always performs when he is the underdog, he may not be as big an underdog as with Khan and Matthysse but still he will feel he has a point to prove.

I'm picking Thurman by a pretty comfortable decision maybe 8-4 across the board. Assuming he don't get too excited and wild he's the better fighter and more versatile.

I'd actually be quite surprised if Thurman KO'd or even dropped Danny, who has a top notch chin.

Danny will pull a Danny Garcia once again.

This is why I became a fan of his in the first place, he always manages to win fights he's expected to lose.

From what I'm seeing it's only those usual suspects that think it's an obviously easy fight for Thurman. Maybe it will turn out to be, or vice versa, but few besides the irrational PBC haters will count Garcia out, and those few will at least give reasons worth debating.

I think it'll be close. I won't rule Danny out.

That fight wouldn't be for at least 5 more months, if it gets agree to.

It would be a close fight. Both guys are good and both have some flaws that the other could take advantage of with the right gameplan.

I don't think people are really expecting Garcia to get smashed easily....we are just hoping he does.

I'm not counting Garcia out at all against Thurman. His recent opposition has ****** but the dude can fight. He made me a believer when he whipped Matthysse. I'm not doubting that dude anymore.

All that is true. However, he has yet to stop any opponent with body punching. Not even at the lower weight class of a 140lb. It was always the head shots that got his opponents out of there.

Now as far as him hurting Keith Thurman to the body; No way. Not once, he did he so much as ever hurt Zab Judah, Erik Morales or even Robert Guerrero or Lamont Peterson to the body and most of them were naturally smaller and weaker than him.

Furthermore, Danny Garcia has not carried his power up to the 147lb division. Most of his bouts lately have been hotly contested and going the distance against hand picked, diminished, shopworn and over matched opponents.

I see now that you are biased. I will not waste your time 👋

The usual suspects really, the same people who are saying Ward is scared of Kova, Thurman was scared of Porter, Danny was scared of Matthysse etc, these guys are almost always wrong.

This is no doubt extra motivation for Garcia and we've seen him beat the odds before. It feels like deja vu.

I'm picking Thurman to win a close fight, but it's far from a sure thing. This is as close to a 50-50 fight as you can get.

                    Danny Garcia can fight.
                    100%

People should never count Danny out against anyone. I thought they would have learned after He derailed the Mythysse train. Before that, most people on here were saying Danny wouldn't see the 10th round!

The style matchup is a big factor in this fight. Is Thurman skillful enough to move in and out and avoid getting caught with a no-look hook? He is one hell of an offensive fighter! This gonna be good.

Just remember that Thurman is a natural welterweight who has never been stopped before in his career. On the other hand, Garcia had struggled with likes of Herrera, Peterson and Robert Guerrero. All of whom are naturally smaller and weaker than "One time" Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia didn't even remotely come close to hurting either one of them. So what makes you so confident that he will hurt Keith Thurman?
