look at who he fought....his wins are over domestic level guys...he SD Geale and lost later on, Geale never looked good again after the fight...neither guy did or beat anyone noteworthy after

Geale was a good fighter but the close loss to a fighter like Barker showed he was not world class anymore....he never beat a world rated fighter after this so proof is in the pudding bro
I don't know how you remember it but I remember Barker being considered a pretty good prospect before facing the Middleweight Champion and Pound for Pound #3 Sergio Martinez in which he gave a good account of himself.

He was like what a 2/1 underdog against Geale, 2/1 win fights all the time. I personally had him losing 114-113, others had him winning 114-113, it was a close fight, it was a good fight, both men should be proud of themselves. They accomplished what must fighters never will accomplish.

either way, i was never high on Barker, he was a decent fighter, was never a consistent mainstay in the world scene. he was a good euro level guy who could give the world class guys a good go...doesnt mean he was elite at 160.

The problem with geale was he never had heart to fight through tough times in the ring, when pushed he quits, fight or flight..... it is a pity he is a all round good guy, and you can never put his accomplishments down, I mean at the time he beat that dirty ****in cheat sturm in his own backyard, that just doesn't happen lol especially 5-6yrs ago..

What's truly pathetic is this GGG fought this guy two years ago, are that's arguably his best win.

Unified champ, fought the best*, and was involved in one of the best fights of 2013. Not the worst career to have.

*didn't fight Martinez when given the chance in 2011 though.

Had to click because I was wondering what the hell people were talking about that filled up 4 pages. Could there be that many Geale fans? Then it quickly became obvious what the real topic was... lol, shoulda known.
