truth is matthysee would have won that fight on the cards if the ref hadn't messed up on that knockdown and allowed garcia's rabbit punch to be legal. not sure when rabbit punches became legal. im guessing in that 11th round.

When the writer states that Garcia beat Matthysse easily, I have to believe he didn't watch the fight.
It was a close, brutal fight and neither guy has been the same since.

It really is ridiculous when people say Garcia won easily. I don't know if that has to do with expectations going in or people who just don't know how to score fights, but I hear it way too much and it plain isn't true. FFS, there are those who say Matthysse only won 3 rounds. It's ******.

A great deal of the criticism has 2 do w/2 too many non-title fights and poor quality of the fighters he was fighting when he defends the title... he needs to step up to better quality opponents , that's obvious...
