Ortiz didn't have to sit out long when you consider how many other fighters have sat out two nears like Mikey Garcia and Andre Ward. Ortiz will still get two fights at the end of the year. Eight months off to seal a deal to join a promotional outfit that could get him Joshua some day after spending time raising his profile is not a bad deal.

You wanna have some fun? Go look at Duran's boxrec. Just as an example, for his 53rd fight, Roberto fought a guy who was 0-3. There are many more examples on his record that'll have you shaking your head. I'm not trying to disparage Duran's record, he's a legend, an ATG...but that's exactly the point.

I just want to point out that absolutely no one in their right mind thought that AJ was too green to fight Martin. Martin is probably the worst HW titleholder ever. He got the vacant belt by knocking out someone without throwing a punch to get the knockout. He completely cashed in on giving AJ that belt. I don't blame him. I just couldn't let that comment go by. Just ridiculous.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Wilder is a bit uncoordinated and whatnot (he has gotten better with each fight), but do you think Martin could beat Stiverne? Molina? Arreola? Duhaupas? I don't have a reason to think so. Oddly enough, I haven't heard about him fighting since AJ knocked him out, supporting my cashing out thoughts...
