If Danny ain't gonna fight for the 3 trinkets when he gets the chance what's he actually planning to do at MW?

I'm not saying 25% is a good deal, and certainly can't blame him for pushing for more (though I suspect he has been offered more - possibly 30%), but at the end of the day what else is there for him at 160? Kid should roll the dice.

A win over Golovkin essentially earns Jacobs a fight with Alvarez, and like you pointed out, gives him a foundation to become a genuine star. But his team doesn't see it that way, that want their big prize up front.

Golovkin was willing to fight Darren Barker, basically for free in the UK, but Danny's too good for 25%? If Jacob's drops out of this fight he deserves to remain an undercard fighter in Reading, PA.

        Jacobs doesn't have fans
Jacobs doesn't even sell out his hometown.
        Blah, blah....Heck they think Canelo/GGG is a 50/50 split??? They're insane.
no reasonable person thinks 50-50 is appropriate for Canelo-GGG. Anyone who does think that isnt worth arguing with.....

Speaking about Saunders, I'm curious why he hasn't been mandated to fight GGG for his belt? Golovkin must be a mandatory for the WBO belt, or should be huh?

Edit: In WBO Golovkin isn't even in the top 15 at MW? Wow, Tommy Langford, Monroe, Stevens, Lemieux, NDam, etc are all there! Lol

my guess is they would reach out to Shaw and try to get the Johnson mando out of the way a few months early and make a serious play for BJS in the spring

              Good!

GGG needs a name in the ring.

They both need this but i honestly think GGG needs it more and they know it

Jacobs is a nobody who struggles to sell seats. Hes not a name, not a star. Hes just an American. Thats it. Nothing special about him to be demanding anything.

I agree the pot won't be big enough to satisfy Jacobs. Even if he get 40% of 5 million that's still only 2 million he gets. Does he take the fight for only 1.33 Quillins? And also at 5 million that would require this to be a PPV. I question how successful of a PPV this could really be. I really hope the fight gets made but I'm just having a lot of trouble seeing it happen.

GGG would most likely be fine doing that fight at 70-30 with ppv upside.

I think that Jacobs team are probably already negotiating with Saunders.

That is the fight the want. It gives them a belt that GGG isn't a mandatory for. Where they can fight a few mandatories and make more money, and then be in a better position leverage wise when it comes time to negotiate a fight with GGG in the future, since GGG isn't even ranked in the top 15 in the WBO, they can negotiate from the stand of having the last belt at 160, and not being a mandatory that can be forced to fight him.
