There was nothing to be reasonable about; Matchroom Sport was bearing the burden for the event, Golovkin was getting a flat fee, and Eddie Hearn simply needed a fighter to stand in n the other corner. If it hadn't been Brook, after the EubankJr fight fell apart, Hearn would've seen if Callum Smith or James DeGale (Haymon involvement would've made things a bit trickier) or some other notable UK fighter could've stepped into the spot; whether Golovkin and Co would've chosen to go up 8lbs for $5m is a different conversation.Comment

When was this? You must be thinking of someone else.umm...the Kell brook deal is no way similar to the Jacobs deal. cant even start comparing them.
K2 wasn't responsible for Brook's purse, hearn was...hearn ran that promotion, and negotiated the deal w/ eubank in mind...then offered up to brook once eubank was a no/go...c'mon man u used to be a quality posterComment

Man and here I thought Eubank was the first choice. Obviously it was just a diabolical plot to get their first choice, Brook.Comment

feel free to assist with that, anytime you like ^^
that way, maybe I won't feel so compelled
haven't you contributed to that " over-hype " on occasion?
what do you think about the following statement.....
FACT: Team Golovkin could be doing more to make this fight.....
true, or false..... ?
because, the same applies to every single one of those 7 guys I mentioned earlier..... and dude, that is a fact.....
Team Golovkin did not have to make all of those silly excuses to avoid Ward, Mora, Lara..... the fact is, they COULD have taken those fights, but they CHOSE not to..... the (sometimes absurd) excuses, were completely unnecessary.
And if there is any truth whatsoever to the story that Gennady can make 154, then he COULD have negotiated on the weight with Cotto..... but again, for some strange reason, they CHOSE not to.
The same with Canelo, they simply could have taken the 10mil, and fought him..... just like Canelo did when he got offered 5mil to fight Mayweather.
And they could have offered Saunders/Jacobs more..... but, again..... they CHOSE not to.
FACT: ALL of those guys are better than anyone on Golovkin's resume...... so, to somehow (for some god-forsaken UNKNOWN reason) give Golovkin a pass for his underwhelming resume'..... is utter ******ity.
I expect to be conversing with adults, and I expect adults to hold a grown man 100% responsible - therefore accountable - for his words/actions/decisions.
