That's the problem with boxing in many ways, it's a very fragmented sport, there isn't one overall governing body. Everyone is basically out for themselves in boxing which is why certain fights never get made, no consistent drug testing, no real support for the fighters etc.
I agree, boxing is falling off when it comes to keeping up with today's professional sports. Something needs to be done in the near future, it can definitely help the sport overall honestly.
