if the events are at the same time,yes,but I think those are just excuses,besides there were no wc games that day,not until days later did that event start,those are free anyways..and cotto wasn't new to ppv events when he fought Martinez,he was an established star,mayorga being old is just like smith being unknown,lets just face it,nobody now except pac will sell against a nobody,i cant see anybody doing that,if cotto vs smith happens it might help smith some that now people know him since he fought canelo,thats why cotto probably didn't choose a nobody,they know it has to be a known guy to sell and they will wait until they have that fighter,the only guys cotto will do good in terms of ppv are marquez,which is why they wanted him,and pac if they do a rematch,but that's it...it doesn't matter anyways,lets just wait to see how cotto does

Cotto, like Canelo will get 250k to 350k PPV views no matter who they fight. I think this is indisputable. Canelo is not the star that DLH claim him to be, many outlets have said the Canelo's numbers were closer to 250k than 300k. With Mayweather out Pac is #1 draw and Cotto and Canelo are 2A,2B. There is nothing wrong with that, it's rediculous to even say Canelo is the new cash cow in boxing, because he is clearly not. One day maybe, but not right now.
