so your going to compare 2 well known guys in ggg and brook against canelo alone? I bet if canelo fought smith in the uk it would have sold way more. Think about it dont just post because you like one fighter over the other.

Cotto is not ****** enough to fight on PPV against a nobodie. Canelo's PPV did less than 300k. And when Cotto fought Martinez on PPV, there was a hoarse going for the tripple crown, puerto rico mens basketball team was playing in an olympic qualifier, and the event was up against the world cup tournament. I have always said Cotto would have far better numbers if he did not fight on the weekend of the Puerto Rican parade. I believe Cotto has a built in audience of about 300-400k fans that will watch any fight he is in.

those events you mentioned were early in the day,,,the fights always start late,,besides the world cup started on june 12,and the fight was on the 7th....
the day chavez fought Martinez,it did 475k,and canelo fought that day and still packed the arena...my point is canelo against a bum still sold,he still packs arenas even though there was a huge fight going on that same night in chavez/Martinez...canelo against a nobody is pretty good,,cotto fought Judah and did 250k and mayorga and did about 250k,,those two opponents were way more popular than liam smith
