actually he has around 16 wins in title fights to floyds 26-27.....mayweather has over 25
including lineal, ibf, wba, wbc, wbo....exclude the wbo and it drops
also Mayweather has a lot more title defenses......its harder to defend a title consistently with an x on your back than it is to win one

Roy didnt beat more champions (current AND former AND future) than floyd, didnt beat more p4p fighters than floyd, didnt beat more atg/hofers than floyd, didnt have floyd's longevity. I can go on but whats the point? The one thing you have right is his win at HW, which is undoubtedly great. With that said, in comparison to the weight of everything else considered, i dont see how you give it more weight. Floyd is undoubtedly greater than Roy.
As for Holyfield, i'd say it depends on how you weigh his moving up from cruiser to heavy and constantly being the smaller guy, yet still being onme of the top guys ion the division. He lost ot all of the best guiys he fought, but he was always competitive. On paper, once again, Floyd has had the much more impressive accomplishments. Stacking a hall of famer to your name is great, but if the guy is 35 years old and out of their prime for a long time what does it mean?
The point is that Roy fought the top guys in all weightclasses from MW to HW and fought guys when he was expected to.
How is Floyd undoubtedly greater than Roy? That's an incredibly silly thing to say. As I said, Roy achieved something far far harder to achieve whilst beating multiple HOFs/ATG in their PRIME. Most of Floyd's HOF wins equate to when RJ beat Mike McCallum. That's the honest truth.
Holyfield lost to all of the best guys he fought? Ok I learned something new today. Floyd had more longevity than Holyfield? Dude, you need to check facts before you start saying these things.
Holyfield is the greatest CW of all times and probably top 6-7 heavyweight of all times. Which division can floyd say that in?

Or unbiased boxing fans who realize that participating in a leonard duran hagler hearns situation in your division with fellow hall of famers like Pacquiao did with Morales, Barrera, and Marquez means quite a bit resume and legacy wise.
That Pacquiao did that, AND put together his run of Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Margartio, Clottey, Mosley well north of where he already had a hall of fame worthy career, is a HUGE cherry on top.
Then if you want to talk about oh, but title defense, etc.
Okay, now you are moving the goal post into Julio Cesar Chavez territory.
Chavez holds the record for consecutive title defenses across division, at 27, and the record for most title defenses outright, at 31. He also has the distinction of having faced the #2 p4p fighter in Pernell Whitaker at Whitaker's absolute peak, while Chavez himself was rated #1 p4p. (Note how Mayweather failed to do this when he had the chance with Pacquiao).
Chavez also has other records, like largest live audience at 132,274 spectators.
The thing is, to make Floyd's resume the best, you have to move the goal posts in different area's to make Floyd look good.
But the problem is, every time you move the goal post, there is someone that did it better in the way you are trying to measure his resume.
The only category that Floyd is undisputedly the greatest of all time at is strategically managing his choice of opponents to maximize his earnings potential. He truly earned the moniker of Money Mayweather.Comment

Most the people arguing floyds is the best, Couldn't name a single opponent of Ezzard Charles. Floyd resume is so not even close to being the best of all time that its hilarious to see people try and argue that it is.
They wouldn't have a clue that Ezzard Charles has TWO wins over Charlie Burley. Yes... That Charlie Burley, that was avoided by everyone and never given his shot at the title.

And PS: Floyd has the most world championships because there are the most world championships in existence today. Historically, just stop defending Floyd on this ******ed argument. If he fought in Duran's time, he wouldn't have that "record".
