Yes, that'd be correct. I also acknowledge the fact that GGG has beaten similar caliber of opposition more convincingly and by a bigger margin more often than the opponents Canelo Alvarez beat (who are also of a similar caliber).

GGG's win over Kell Brook > Canelo's win over Miguel Cotto (Kell Brook and Miguel Cotto are similar caliber boxers).

GGG's win over Martin Murray > Canelo's win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (Martin Murray and JCCJ are both similar caliber boxers).

Sparring is sparring, things happen and people are often at different levels of fitness when sparring, some might be entering camp and some might have been in camp non stop for a while.

Like the GGG dropping Kovalev rumour, could GGG drop Kovalev with a body shot if Kovalev was just starting his camp? of course he could, he could probably drop him with a body shot anyway if he caught him right. Just one of those things.

It could happen to anyone and probably does, so it's not unrealistic that it happened to GGG. I'd imagine most fighters have taken a beating or got dropped in sparring, it's just that most things stay in the gym. You have to remember these guys are sparring hundreds and hundreds of rounds every camp. They will spar thousands of rounds in their careers, it's fairly likely you're going to get hurt at some point.

I think fans make a bigger deal about it than the fighters themselves.

A 4 year old "he say-she say" video about a sparring session?

        Completely irrelevant to September 16.

I do remember Lil g fans using sparring sessions to hype him tho, so good for the gander, I guess...

Then get caught in the bait, the point is testimonial vs recorded footage

What does any of that have to do with a sparring partner of Ggg saying he dropped him with a body shot? Believing that happened vs opinion For would that matter are completely different. That sparring guy is not Alvarez

It was just to let you know once and for all that I only 'acknowledge' things that have valid and sound arguments / evidence provided for. This is so that you wouldn't constantly be asking me whether I 'acknowledge' x, y or z.

Also, I didn't claim that sparring guy was Canelo Alvarez.

In all fairness, that's the best they can do, since his real life opposition is so dismal.
