I'm gonna guess fight him 5 years from now after he's already been knocked unconscious and slipped skills wise?

If Floyd stepped in the ring with GGG I think he finally gets that first loss. To much weight for him to carry any power and it will impact his speed. You can beat a "can" on just ring IQ but your not going to survive 12 rounds with arguably the hardest puncher in the business. A lot of people believe that GGG is beatable based off his last title defense but everyone has an off night. Floyd's the man below 160 and I believe if he comes out of retirement it better be at 154 or lower. Even if he were to win I think it would take so much out of him that he would not be the same afterwards. Some fights just aren't worth fighting.

Sorry but if someone is capable of breaking an eye socket off a jab alone, there comes a point that it's a jump too far. Floyd could very well avoid a lot of shots but I don't think he'll want to be in any position that would allow Golovkin to be too close to hit anything. We know Golovkin isn't a head hunter, so if he can't hit Floyd up top, he'll go down low and we've seen how devastating his body shots are. If he were to somehow pull it off, it would be a ****ing hell of a feat. It's just hard to imagine him doing anything to deter GGG from imposing his will. And I do think G would employ a defense he's capable of using.Last edited by AKAcronym; 10-11-2016, 12:14 AM.

More lip service from Floyd. Spewing out checks he can't cash. Enough already go gamble your money away, or beat your hoes, or whatever you do that makes you happy in your retirement. But fighting GGG ever is not one of them.

In a pound for pound sense Floyd would box circles around 3G -- I don't think there's much of an argument otherwise.
But in a real life fight, Golovkin stops Floyd. Golovkin would probably lose every second of the fight up until the stoppage, but the fight wouldn't make it the distance.
Golovkin would completely abandon defense and just relentlessly stalk Floyd until he'd inevitably get to him. GGG would happily eat jabs and Floyd power shots all night long in the trade off that he'd eventually get to him, and I'm 100% convinced that it would only be a matter of time before he would indeed eventually get to him for the TKO.

Why does a retired fighter keep talking about someone who is not in his division and who he likely will never face?
