It is absolutely ridiculous how so many people on this forum call people who fight professionally for a living "bums" and "cowards". These are the same people that think juvenile nicknames like "Bumlovkin", "*******" and "Duckweather" are witty somehow. Fighters risk a lot in the ring, even the ones that we may not like or be fans of. We should be a little more respectful and appreciative. My two cents

it could happen, one thing you noticed about ggg vs brook is that when brook fired off combos, almost everything connected since ggg barely moves his head, he just plows through you..canelo is in my opinion the best combination puncher in the sport. the canelo at 152 vs floyd and canelo now is night and day. .

canelo will light up ggg like a christmas tree with combos. hes also an excellent counter puncher. and defensively canelo has also improved tremendously, is like he studied his loss to floyd and picked up the things floyd executed.

so it's very possible for canelo to stop ggg. his hand speed, reflexes, combos, counters, defense, ggg's lack of head movement and willingness to trade all play to canelos strengths.

...but one thing canelo cannot do is lay on the ropes, thats when ggg batters you. at center ring there's no contest canelo will dominate big.

Dude, you don't understand. The site has the world's foremost experts on peds, boxing finance, career development, boxing knowledge and skills, and bravery. Lol.

In all seriousness, you are 100 percent right. But don't hold your breath on there being more respect for fighters. This site is full of losers who have never done **** in their life, can't box, and have never even sparred with high level amateurs, or journeyman pros for that matter. I've never seen a bigger collection room of know-it-alls, *****ass internet tough guys, morons, and trolls as there is on this site. Red fox I like you as a member and poster but canelo has zero shot to beat golovkin and I can see canelo taking a sustained beating.
Canelo has no foot speed and cant fight going backwards which means he's prime game for Golovkin and won't be able to go anywhere.
There's a reason why canelo gave up his belts m8 and you don't do that if you think you can beat someone.
Golovkin will break canelo down bit by bit and the pace that golovkin fights at will be far to much for him.
I'm not even sure canelo could beat lemeuix and it's a dodgy fight for canelo ...trust me on that son

Canelo has better handspeed, better defense, better head movement and reflexes, and throws better combos. So with all that going for him I favor him. But any boxer has a punchers chance once your in the ring.

Actually, GGG, until Brook, had never been hit repeatedly with serious punches. And Canelo is very talented with punching in very strong combinations. So there's that. It's a 50/50 fight though. Logic and reasoning will likely fly out the window when the 2 meet in the ring. Fans will learn a bunch of things about both fighters, since both will be taken places neither have been before. It won't stop fans from talking the fight up one side and down the other though... before... during... and after.

Canelo has very little chance against Golovkin and he doesn't know how to fight going backwards and also shows little or no foot speed to be able to manuever himself out of harms way.... 70-30 at the most but more like 80-20
