canelo will light up ggg like a christmas tree with combos. hes also an excellent counter puncher. and defensively canelo has also improved tremendously, is like he studied his loss to floyd and picked up the things floyd executed.

so it's very possible for canelo to stop ggg. his hand speed, reflexes, combos, counters, defense, ggg's lack of head movement and willingness to trade all play to canelos strengths.

...but one thing canelo cannot do is lay on the ropes, thats when ggg batters you. at center ring there's no contest canelo will dominate big.
    deluded......

      Lol you obviously underestimate Canelo.
Anyways, GGG isn't a cash cow like Oscar, Cotto, or Nelo, that might be one reason. Another reason, he's retired.

"Weight will not be an issue - we can even fight for no belts. I would have fought him in the ring tonight. I'm not afraid of anyone."

He will fight him at 160. When his body is ready. You know, people could have seen this coming if they didn't think like elementary school kids and conclude that someone was "ducking." I said 1.5yrs ago that this fight wasn't going to happen until 2017 because Canelo, a superstar, would bide his time to work himself into the weight. It'll happen next year. And when the fight is signed, a lot of people who've been claiming that GGG will blow him out are going to be having second thoughts.

Lol right. I wonder if the same people calling canelo a coward and whatnot realize GGG hadn't fought anyone of note at 26yrs.
Scratch that, he still really hasn't fought anyone. I still think he's a solid fighter though.

all this he said BS is for the birds. The fight is going to happen as there is already to much money to be lost for it not to be a fight.
Who wins? Only fight night will tell us that. Canelo has come into his own. Even when they sparred years back Canelo didn't look bad and he was young and not half the man he is today.
I like both fighters but even with the padded record GGG still has 350 amateur wins. He has seen every style out there I can assure you of that. The ? Can he break Canelo's will as he too has a solid chin. It will be bloody for both fighters and who ever boxes better and lands cleaner will probably be the winner. I think it goes 12 rounds. If a ko does come it could come from either but I think GGG is the stronger fighter with the better chance of a ko.
So Canelo by decision or GGG by ko, jmho

Anyone who uses the word coward or "duck" regularly when a fight doesn't occur is someone I know I can't seriously talk boxing with. You just gotta play along with them or ignore them entirely.

They've built this fight up and Canelo will be primed and ready at 160. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on him.

Loool Floyd sounding like one of these NSB trolls.... there is nothing to suggest that Canelo can stop Golovkin, someone who knows the sport as well as Floyd must be trolling to say this.

In all honesty, why would Floyd NOT pick Canelo over any fighter in and around his division? He has to root for Canelo, the better Canelo does in his career the better it makes Floyd look.
