Of course he would say that. What else would he say? He beat Canelo so by saying Canelo beats GGG he is saying that he would beat GGG. The statement has no worth or meaning. Mayweather is using Canelo to beat GGG by proxy. GGG will probably be a 3 to 1 betting favorite over Canelo if the fight is made. The big majority of fans, experts and boxers are picking GGG to knock Canelo out. Do a poll on it and you will see this to be true. I am a big fan of both Canelo and GGG but I pick GGG to win. That's not a knock on Canelo because I pick GGG to beat everybody from 168 to 154. I think GGG would KO guys like Lara and Cotto that went 12 rounds with Canelo.

What's the lesson here?
Little g is easier to hit so all you morons who say Canelo doesn't have a chance to win don't know jack **** about boxing!

What is this myth that Canelo has booming power? He's got decent power but doesn't seem to hit as hard as you would think with his size and frame. The notion that he could/would put Golovkin to sleep is reaching. Canelo better learn to stay off the ropes if he wants to have a chance at beating GGG.

What you idiots and morons who keep saying Canelo is scared fail to realize is that boxing is a business, not just a sport.
Boxers need to maximize themselves in every fight cause that could be their last fight. They box for a living so they wanna get paid. By pushing the fight to next September Canelo is maximizing himself to earn more money. Nothing wrong with that. Its a business move he's doing. Can't hate on a man for wanting more money.
And before you ****** idiots say that one or the other can lose in the meantime look back at Manny. He got KTFO and the fight still broke financial records. So you morons need to realize that boxing is a business cause I'm willing to bet they don't fight for fun!

Did you see the ggg-Brook fight? You see how easy Brook was tagging his ass? If it was someone with more power then ggg would of lost that fight.
And you can't compare ggg to Mayweather cause he's no Mayweather. Ggg won't outbox Canelo.
And it's cool that most so-called experts are making ggg the favorite. Works to my benefit when I drop some money in Vegas on Canelo.
Now if you wanna bet on that fight then you let me know how much and we'll figure out a legit way to place a bet
