Did he loot the the fund and then jump the sinking ship? Only time will tell. What is known for sure is that none of the major networks will carrying PBC fights unless Al Haymon pays up front air time. Problem...there's no more money and what little is left only Al Haymon knows for sure.
This poster has absolutely no idea how much money Haymon's ventures have left.

Nobody knows for sure if any of the major networks will end up paying for a PBC package or not.

The above post is nothing but propaganda and empty rhetoric. The only thing we know for sure is that Haymon has more champions than ever, more control at Showtime than ever, and has attracted millions of viewers to the major networks.

This "sky is falling" agenda is a myth perpetuated by the HBO propaganda machine to mask the fact that over at HBO, the sky actually is falling.

In the coming weeks, several Haymon fighters will have fights officially announced for late November and December.

All you can do is hope it fails.....why....you won't be honest about why.

Boxing fans that want boxing to fail...smh

Pretty much. But sshhh, let them continue with this narrative. They'll be using new names when they're wrong again and the cycle will continue. Either that or they'll move the goalpost.

I can't believe how much hate one man can get because he choose to do something different..

HBO has over 30 years in the business and PBC has two but PBC has the capability of putting on championships fights without the fan having to fork up $70 per fight.

In due time PBC will flourish because they have the young lions that have character. Once he get a long term contract on a majoe network he'll give the fans what they want.

HBO make you pay for its fight and this year thus far they mostly been predictable fights..

I like HBO and I like what the PBC is trying to do. As a fan Im not gathering why is it so much hate for the PBC for trying something new

Looking out for the best interest of the fighter so he can maximise his own percentage cut of their purse at the expense of the fans is absolutely cancerous to the sport, yes.

It's math and the numbers don't work, simple as that...........

Let me connect the dots. The money that financed the PBC was funny money from and investment fund. The fund lost nearly all of it's value and money. In the mean time the PBC as a business has never made a profit, it's been hemorrhaging money from day one. PBC doesn't generate a penny and if the fund is out of money.... there is simply no money coming in.

                The original idea:
PBC would offer fighters ****** money to join PBC and still have enough money to purchase network time until they could prove the profit model. At that time the networks would see the profitability and be compelled to pay Haymon to put on fights.

The problem.....Once the contract was completed the networks decided not to buy PBC products because the model was not profitable. The networks instead told Al Haymon he will need to continue to pay for air time up front.

As mentioned, the PBC model never generated a profit. If the PBC model is expected to continue Al Haymon will need to keep throwing money into what has proven to be a money pit with no end. He can slow the money hemorige by cutting the fighters paydays but that assumes the Broners of the game agree but that's a big if, and it only slows the hemorrhaging it will not stop it.

Al Haymon is a smart business man, boxing is a business for profit and there is simply no profit to be made in PBC.

                Opinion:
I expect Floyd and Al will start a media campaign to define why it didn't work then tell us who's fault it is but in the end, both will jump off the titanic.

                  FAN -

The PBC business plan is to be the irrational player for several years, with no expectation of profit until control of the industry has been seized.

You have no idea if the networks have decided to buy in or not. There have been rumors that NBC & ABC aren't interested, but that CBS & FOX are.

We'll have to see if a deal gets done or not.

But you have no idea what the networks have told Al. Showtime is clearly very commited to him. As are Spike and FS1. None of those deals are time buys.

Can he get CBS or FOX to pay for big events on their OTA channels? We don't know yet.

But we do know that Haymon has more champions than ever and more power than ever. He's closer now to taking over US boxing than he was 18 months ago. HBO Boxing is weaker than it was 18 months ago. Haymon's power and influence has grown in that time.

It's basically the strategy that is used across the board in big business these days. Overcaptialized, growth-focused play that puts the smaller players in the grave.
