You think so? Eubank was yapping about wanting Ggg, Jacobs was always if the money's right. Which is bad attitude for a Mando that will cost him his regular belt, but he didn't leave 4m+ on the table either. What was the reason Eubank vacated his Wba interim to drop down to British level?

On Sep 14, Keith Connolly (Jacobs’ longtime advisor) said to The Ring that they want a PPV fight and that:
... "if the money is right, we’ll take the fight. If the fight needs to be built up to make the right type of money, we’ll do it in a couple of fights."

What more did you expect from this?

(Well, I was waiting for Showtime or some mysterious Kazaky mobsters to come up with "the right money", but they didn't.)

The thing i don't get is why the likes of Jacobs start saying they want the fight and then when it comes to the fight happening and it can be mandated, they don't want it. Fair enough if they don't want it, but don't talk **** before hand, it just makes them look even worse. Probably best to just stay quiet.
Exactly. These guys get the publicity and recognition without having to actually make the fight. Where did this "interim fight" nonsense come from all of a sudden? Be careful what you wish for Billy Joe, you might just get it. Nope that fight won't happen either.

I was only quoting them: "if the money is right, we’ll take the fight"... That's what they actually said...

Yeah that's harsh. Danny is a very nice guy, and a good boxer. None of these guys are cowards, they just don't wanna fight Ggg, not next at least

With Eubank I always felt he was running off out the mouth. He wasn't ready and talked himself into a corner. I also think that fight not happening was more Eubank Sr. ****ing it up than his son not wanting it. They thought they had more leverage than they did and it blew up in their face.

Jacobs has also run his mouth about wanting the fight and has been Golovkin's mandatory for a long time now. He's also a proven middleweight. For him to duck using excuses like "I want another interim fight" would be worse than Eubank IMO.
