On top of that he has a back story that makes you pissed off that Will Smith isn't young enough anymore to play him in a movie.
I'm not going to get into the Haymon thing but if I had anything to do with promoting Jacobs, I would be pushing a "miracle man" narrative NOW. Make a vid for the PBC homepage, drop it in commercials, pitch the story to sports columnists looking for interesting material. PUSH that story because that's the type of stuff people love. Relegating it to the commentary crew during a fight is a failure to promote.

Agreed. Plus the fact that he's a good dude doesn't help. Just ask andre ward. Unfortunately we live in a world where sh&t heads like Broner become popular by acting like ******s. Also see conner mcgregor.

Exactly!!!! I love GGG, but you push this as the man who beat cancer and still came back. Not only did he not come back but he's fighting the boogey man of boxing who knocks everyone out. Unfortunately for GGG, Jacobs stared death in the face and fears no man. How is this not the easiest fight to promote ever. Put Jacobs on every talk show ever. I mean seriously. This shouldn't just be an easy fight to sell, it should be an easy script to sell to Hollywood.

Who cares? I'm sure that for many people believe his skills and power. I think his only misfortune GGG. He just lost against Dmitry Pirog and this is normal. Pirog was a very special boxer.

Don't matter if he as with Arum, HBO, GBP whoever either you have it or you don't, he is "DECENT" but he is no superstar or anything like that. Jacobs was on his way until Pirog knocked him out and after that people I guess kinda tuned out. That happens in boxing, guys lose and people seem to move on until they work their way back

He is only 29 who's to say he can't reach Stardom...BEAT GGG and he will have all the stardom he wants

Some of these guys just don't want the hardwork that comes with being the Superstar I honest think some are TERRIFIED of being in that Position in which the entire boxing world is calling them out wanting to fight

If he's serious about the GGG fight then he'll have his chance. The winner of that fight is the best 160 fighter hands down.

Yet this doesn't translate to being a draw. Why?
The Quillin-Jacobs numbers were probably affected more by Quillin's actions leading up to the fight rather than Jacobs. Quillin had been WBO champion but gave up his belt and and career high payday when Rocnation won the pid for the Quilin-Korobov fight. Then when Lee stepped in and beat Korobov, Quillin had a chance to get the belt back but blew it by coming in heavy and managed only a draw. Also, Jacobs himself was only the #2 WBA middleweight after Golovkin so the fight was never really a world title fight. I think Jacobs is doing well for someone who has not won a legitimate world title in any weight division, if he beats Golovkin his stardom would likely take off.

                  1. Lets first start with Quillin vs Jacobs being biggest fight that could be made minus Golovkin. It wasn't.

It was basically one unproven fight vs another fighter trying to reestablish himself after 3 years of embarrassment.

                  2. Nobody watched it because PBC killed Showtimes subscriber base.

I was going to add more but got bored of typing.

Well in Broner's defensive he always makes extremely exciting fights. The porter fight was a dud, but for the most part i'm on the edge of my seat when he fights. Conor too.

Not too many superstars in boxing these days, especially black ones.
