I just want the fight to happen. I doubt Jacobs even cares about the split for the sake of the split. If he wants 3.5 million or something, i doubt he cares what Golovkin makes. The problem for him and a lot of these fighters and their leeches is they think they are worth so much more than they actually are. The pot of money available is only so big.

I really want to see GGG-Jacobs, and I would like to see GGG ultimately unify the titles, but this is ridiculous.

Everyone is running their mouths about who deserves what, and blah blah blah. Send it to bid under the current rules and lets see what happens.
The WBA would set a bad precedent by changing the purse split. Rules should be rules and if the rules say 75-25 than it should be 75-25.

I don't agree with Golovkin dropping the belt, however. While I do like to see corruption get nipped in the bud it might be more important for Golovkin to just take the fight and lay Jacob's out for his *****ing, moaning, and going to the WBA behind K2's back.

Situations like this remind me why I don't like Jacobs, he acts like a cool guy but reality he an entitled diva with very little heart or honor.

It's not a special rule. It's a process allowed by the WBA. They can either agree or reject. A special rule is the WBC allowing GGG to fight for their mandatory spot although he was already a champion with another organization.

Did you have a problem with the WBC allowing GGG to fight for their mandatory position even though he was already a champion with another sanctioning body?

under what grounds would the wba change their rules? I wouldn't put it past them since they are the worst sanctioning body. It's all relative, just give Jacobs an extra 5%, I don't think he would ask for too much more, I think he knows he's not nearly the draw Golovkin is, even in NY. 70-30, maybe even 65-35 if Team GGG could swallow their pride.

That said, you business fans shouldn't change your tune so quick, you know it's a dumb bidness move for him not to push for the 75-25 rule.

Are you really going to be a bozo and ask me such a ****** question?

Answer me this since when has it been illegal for the WBA Champion to face the WBC Champion?

I think you're confused about what happened friend so I'm going to school you for a bit and maybe you'll learn something.

technically they shouldnt have done it, but nobody was hurt by that ruling. They did it to appease Cotto by facilitating Cotto-Martinez and also to throw Rubio a bone so he wouldnt sue over the Chavez Jr drug testing fiasco. Nobody had their purse reduced because of it........
