that is exactly what Canelo did with Khan
if it went down like this...... "fk these clowns, they won't make me a decent offer..... they have no other options on the table, so I will take another fight in the meantime while they reconsider my worth"..... then I understand completely
let's not forget..... the other avenue Jacobs considered was petitioning the WBA to ask for a better split
It is obvious what is happening..... the team that has a reputation for being notoriously difficult to deal with - you know, the team that just walked away from 10mil to fight Canelo - seem to be up to their old tricks.
no way should Jacobs be manipulated into taking short money from a bunch of hype-jobs who are notoriously difficult to negotiate with.
NOTE: this is just another fight that Team Bull**** look to be about to lose..... so no big deal really, just add it to the list
you missed the part that Jacobs is asking for an interim fight.
that's how you read between the lines. a little dim witted, huh?Comment

If Jacobs management have not already informed the WBA that they will walk if the purse-bid terms are not modified..... then they are totally incompetent.
Currently, the WBA should be well-aware of what is happening during the negotiation..... and that looks to be the case..... hence the extended date and modified terms.
The WBA clearly want a good faith negotiation, hence the date extension..... and they appear to be well-aware that Team Bull**** played hardball and then called for an early purse-bid...... hence the modified terms.
imho, the modified terms will be 70/30..... NOT the 60/40 Team Jacobs wants (which is likely fair)..... but nobody will know for sure until the purse-bid has taken place...... which is their way of forcing Team Bull**** to be more reasonable..... you wouldn't wanna lose 40% just because you were unwilling to give Jacobs 30%, now would you?Comment
