"But the sides apparently aren't getting anywhere in the negotiations. Gilberto Mendoza Jr., president of the WBA, told ESPN.com that there has been discussion by the Jacobs side of a possible interim bout before facing Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), although Golovkin does not want an interim fight. He wants to do the mandatory fight with Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) as soon as possible, especially because it is such an attractive fight."
...
"Typically, a mandatory fight between a "super champion" (Golovkin in this case) and a "regular champion" (Jacobs) is a 75-25 split in the event of a purse bid with the lion's share going to the "super champion."
However, Mendoza said that Jacobs is seeking a 60-40 split (in GGG's favor).
"It has changed in some cases but usually they are not changed," Mendoza said."
the very best scenario is always...... when a slimy weasel ends up getting his tail caught in a trap
I would piss myself laughing if Team Bull**** forced the purse-bid, Haymon wins and takes the fight to Showtime, and HBO pull the plug...... leaving the WBA to strip Hypekin.
it would be sooooo funny to see those hype-jobs take yet another backward step with Golovkin's over-rated career
the funniest thing would be watching Hypekin get sparked cold, but Jacobs will not beat Golovkin..... not at this point in his career imho...... so yea, love to see the liars/weasels end up with even more egg on their face
Gotta be ****ing kidding me with an interim fight first. You had months to get a couple fights in. As much as I hate to say it, Golovkin needs to move up. These cats at MW are ridiculous.
essentially what ggg haters/haymon fanboys are saying is that ggg has to overpay jacobs because ggg wants the fight more and jacobs doens't mind fighting bums. this is supposed to make jacobs look good somehow but yeah it does not.
Why would Jacobs take the fight if he's making less or similar to the Quillen fight. It's obvious that K2 is low balling Jacobs and wants the purse bid because it benefits GGG. In order for Jacobs to make 1.5 mil, the bid would have to be 6 mil. I don't see either K2 or Haymon bidding that high. Why would Haymon bid so high to pay GGG. I don't see the fight happening, especially if Jacobs is gonna make less than for his Quillen fight.
On the other hand who is gonna fight Jacobs if he i stripped? He will be avoided and Haymon will have to pay him the money he thinks he deserves to fight mismatches.

Check out this well known ******.
""The best scenario is that the fight doesn't happen" !!
Yep. Thats what he said. Hate doesnt get any purer than this.
Actually, Mendoza proved that GGG doesn't want it. Anytime you're eager to bring a fight to purse-bid knowing the other party doesn't like the 75-25 split as oppose to negotiating, says you don't want the fight; not eager to make it happen.
Mendoza proved that GGG wants to fight NOW, and Jacobs wants to postpone it somewhere in 2017. Will situation change in 2017? Jacobs will become huge star fighting Mora 3? Well he can fight Quillin for 1.5M again right? Maybe he is targeting September 2017 also?
Your hate makes you blind.
