Comments Thread For: Golovkin-Jacobs: The WBA Wants Deal, Gives Purse Bid Extension
Collapse
-
Ggg is in a good position. He as champ can force the purse bid and get 75 percent. Why settle for less? Jacobs is in bad position because to get what he wants, he has to make a deal before the purse bid. And if he can't, he has to ask the commission to change the rules to get more money. At that point you're not bargaining for more money, you're completely asking for a rule change.
This is like Kovalev Stevenson. They were like a 50/50 ish type split. But Stevenson was the wbc champ and so forced the purse bid to get the 75.
Belts may not have the prestige of old but they have some value still.

Fk the hypejob's and protected network darlings, they do nothing but cause problems, so they deserve nothing
and lets face it..... that hypejob lil'G will not trouble the historians, so why should he fk things up at middleweight because of his inflated ego and diva approach?
the best thing for boxing is for protected over-hyped fighters to get KTFO, failing that...... exposed.
nobody can deny that
your only counter, would be that lil'G is not a protected hypejob
well, what the fk has he done EVER ?
this is his legacy right here.....
* he beat Murray
* he beat Pepe Le Pew
* he could have fought Ward, but he chose not to
* he could have fought Mora, but he chose not to
* he could have fought Lara, but he chose not to
* he could have fought Cotto, but he chose not to
* he could have fought Canelo, but he chose not to
and it looks like.....
* he could have fought Jacobs, but he chose not to
* he could have fought Saunders, but he chose not to
the guy who owns the legacy detailed above, should not have walked away from 10mil + HUGE exposure to fight a lil ugly red kid
just saying.....
* he could have fought Chavez Jr., but he chose to CHANGE the contract and demand $1,000,000 per /lb weight penalty after EVERTYTHING was agreed upon weeks BEFORE....Then Arum killed it by lowering his offer. Basically if Chavez Jr. came in 2 lbs over he would of been fighting for free with Arum's offer.
But who changes contracts AFTER they already are agreed upon??? GGG does and DID! POS doesn't honor contracts.
Gennady "The WISHING MAN" Golovkin" He's got more KO's and a HOFame Resume by wishing and PRETENDING.Last edited by Shadoww702; 10-07-2016, 09:55 PM.

Also if you're trying to say I'm living in a fantasy, then why would I need a fantasy land to be placed in, if I'm already living in one? Even your insults make no ****ing sense. Like I can see the insult you're trying to make, but you can't even execute it properly. It's ****ing embarrassing.

* he could have fought Eubank Jr., but he chose to fight a 147 Welterweight at a FULL 160lbs instead.

So if that's the case then why would he be offered less now? I'm not saying it's ok for Jacobs to not make the fight because he thinks he is worth more but how do you make a fight by offering less than before? I'll just say it again, I don't know the exact offer only that it's less than $3m by reasonable measure.

Originally posted by World Champion? View PostI disagree with your comments about Canelo but even more with your comments about Cotto, but I don't want to argue those points now. I do agree that there are some double standards that may be going on when they can concede and be flexible with a young, raw middleweight (Eubank) and welterweight (Brook), but need to be completely rigid against the #2 guy(in my opinion) in the division.
I don't put much blame on Golovkin for many of the other fights you listed falling through but if this fight falls through because K2 are not willing to concede slightly to make a fight then I will add Golovkin to the list of cherry pickers. I'm ok with fighting weak mandatories in order to try and unify and I'm indifferent to him fighting a welterweight champ when the middleweight you are negotiating with won't sign (as per Eubank's promoter), but I'm not ok with being difficult about making a mandated fight against your divisions next best fighter. We will see what happens.
I made those comments about Cotto because they were relevant.
Why on earth would the guy who ran around for FOUR YEARS saying that he can "beat anyone from 154-168" totally refuse to negotiate on the weight with lil old faded 153lb Cotto..... especially considering the fact that Cotto was his best possible payday?
I am happy to supply links proving the (sometimes bizarre) justifications provided by Team Golovkin to avoid every one of those fights I mentioned..... Cotto was just the best example.
