GGG's title reign is similiar to Lucian Bute

Lucian bute only fought B, C level comp and tomato cans as a champion and i always thought he would get a reality check as soon as he faces somebody with a pulse.. then Froch happened.

Is GGG's resume better or worse?

Not at all. Bute struggled with ggg level opponents often. GGG koed bute before so how are they similar?

As champions, they both faced unworthy opponents.

It wasn't gonna be Froch to expose the smaller hypejob, hed rather swerve Ggg like the plague.

But yeah great analogy with a guy that never left his hometown till Froch, and was seconds away from a Ko loss to a caveman

Bute was wrecking alot of low-level guys, much the same as GGG has. They both were undefeated without having beat anyone special (until Bute fought Froch). That's how they're similar.
Now, it's entirely fair to think that GGG is a better fighter than Bute. I think GGG is far better than Bute, even though he hasn't proven it against a good fighter, I still see enough in him to say that. But, that's not what the OP is saying and in respect to what he's saying, there are some parallels.

Golovkin and Bute reigns are not very similar. A lot of the guys Golovkin has beaten were relevant top ten mainstays. Guys like Andrade and Miranda barely broke top ten.

Remember both Murray and Macklin challenged for the Lineal title and did very good. Macklin dropped Martinez and Murray arguably won. Gale former unified champion.

I don't think Bute ever beat #2 fighter in his division even when it was very weak division post-Calzaghe moving up.

Currently, his resume is like Froch's, a bunch of B-Level fighters who were hot for a minute like Bute. Jacobs or Quillin (especially Quillin) would be more like Bute in terms of resume and ability.

Except that Golovkin wouldn't need to rematch Andrade
