That's not what happened. HBO was being cheap. Just as they're being cheap today with their boxing budget, they were cheap then. Stevenson was on board with fighting Kovalev and gave HBO a billion chances to match Showtime's offer in which HBO told Stevenson to go fcuk himself... Off he went to Showtime. End of story.

Yeah, no matter whose fault it was, Stevenson consistently fights guys he knows he can beat. I think he's just a bully with a big left hand. Fonfara took him the distance and gave him all kinds of trouble. And Fonfara can be jacked as we saw. I don't know. Stevenson just doesn't impress me. Kovalev has more skill in the ring.
