Has GGG Sustained Any Damage Professionally?

Does a guy like him age well?

Usually people with the aggressive style don't age well....

I've thought about this. Guys like Dempsey and Tyson don't age well.... but they relied too much on speed.

GGG relies on footwork, which is a skill. so he actually is very different from the swarmers of the past.

And despite what the demos say, his defense is top notch. That's why he has never even done the chicken dance or the plank.

Golovkin has a few years left at the top level. He isn't as quick as he was a few years ago. That happens to everyone in the 30s. But he has never taken a bad beating, which helps.

Mike Tyson relied on footwork too and his defens was solid under Kevin

his offense to defense ratio is top 3 in the boxing game. period. It's even better than the overrated Andre Ward who himself has done the chicken dance and the plank all in one.

you can actually tell by the #'s in the kell brook fight. The WW is supposed to be faster and outland him at first before he reels them in later. Very much like Amir Khan vs Canelo.

Yet GGG's defense was better than Kell the WW. he outlanded Kell in every round despite giving up the speed advantage. Meaning he has better skills than kell P4P.

In his own words, he's got 2 good years left max.

i actually don't think the defensive masters necessarily age well.

Pernel Whitaker and Mayweather didn't age that well imo. Whitaker is punch drunk as hell for the amount of dancing he did and the supposed great defense he has.

Mayweather deteriorated rapidly as well BUT of course he needs the hometown athletic commission to let him juice to the gills to cling a truly war torn Pacquiao to a close hometown decision.
