    Paul Malignaggi Videos?

    Hey Guys,

My name's Kam and I'm from London, England. I've read your posts and you all seem to hate Paulie Malignaggi, but I'm afraid I really like the guy! I'm sorry, please don't hate me for it! I can't help it! At the end of the day, I'm a boxing fan just like everybody else, and I just wanna see a great fight on June 10.

Personally, I'd like Paulie to win, I think he's slick, he's got good technique and I think the main thing is that he doesn't get hit in his fights, which may not contribute to knocking out his opponent, but it kinda indicated he may not get knocked out himself. Hence he has so many UD's. He's very much a "love him or hate him" kinda guy of course. But he IS fighting Cotto, so I dunno, we'll see how he comes out during the fight..

Anyways, being all the way across the ocean here in the UK, I have NO access to ESPN or HBO or anything like that! I saw a boxing highlights programme over here and that's when they showed Malignaggi knocking out Kevin Watts. Since then, i've tried to keep up with events, but all i can get my hands on is pictures. I have, however, seen his latest fight against Donald Camarena.

Does ANYONE have any Paul Malignaggi video clips etc that I could see/download? Very Much appreciated!!

Thanks a lot guys, enjoy the fight on June 10.
    Kam xx

It's not that we hate him. It's that he thinks he is going to beat Cotto. Which i don't see him doing. Cotto will cut the ring perfect and end the fight with a left hook.

BTW i have no fights of paulie. Im sure someone can help you.

      To Undefeated,
To be honest, don't all fighters go around saying they're gonna win their next fight? I'm sure Paulie doesn't think he's actually gonna beat Cotto easily. I'm sure he has faith in his abilities, but by the same token, he's doing his job, his trash talking gets him the publicity. He's pretty using this fight as his way to the top. Fair enough he's fought nobodies, but he's dealt with them easily according to the reports that I've read. So the way I see it is that he's slightly untested. Sure Cotto's the man, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that there can't be a shock defeat by a motivated, young, skillfull boxer, right?
I'm not making excuses for him, I'm just saying that there isn't a fighter out there who's gonna go into their next fight and say "Yea well this guy's better than me, he's proven it against the level of opposition he's fought, and I'm pretty much trying my luck. I'll probably lose.." LOL

I think the first 3 rounds Paulie will be running back with cotto chasing him,and Paulie landing quite a few shots, taking the first 3 rounds, but then,i think Cotto will get in 2 his groove and jus hurt Paulies body and land a left hook and end it

I honestly, truly feel sorry for Paulie. What is he thinking? Honestly, that kid is going to be broken in two. I just hope he doesn't get seriously injured. The body shots from Cotto are going to destroy him

I'm not a Paulie lover but anybody who's competitive, especially yet to be beat is gonna think they'll be victorious. I mean I've heard him say in his interviews that cotto's a good fighter and will be his toughest opponent. So he's not going on a Mayorga tirade talking crazy or something just confident and probably tryna sell the fight, remember it's competing with Bernard/Tarver. I feel he's quick and got skills haven't seen alot of his fight's tho, so he'll either drown or swim with Cotto. And this will be a big fight as far as his future goes, and for Cotto because he's a great up and comer but this could be a blue print for beating Cotto if he has problems.

I see where your coming from. But the reason why i feel sorry for Paulie is because he don't know what to do. How do you pick a fight with Cotto and say he is one dimensonal? I mean come on now. Cotto is by far one dimensonal. Yea Paulie is known for having good boxing skills but so does Cotto. Cotto is as fast as paulie. Also packs a punch in both hands. Left hook to the body and to the chin being powerful too. Yea Paulie has a chance. Everyone has a chance. You have to fight a perfect fight. To beat Cotto you have to fight his fight. You are going to need power. Paulie will not last 12 rounds boxing with Cotto. I see Paulie getting ****y and trying to trade with Cotto. If he does that it's going to be an early night.

Cotto wins this fight by TKO in round 5

Paulie says Cotto is one-dimensional, hes an idiot. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Cotto outboxed Paulie and the true Cotto fans who have watched his whole career know what im talking about.

But another interesting side to this is the fact that Paulie is yet to be tested at the highest level. Cotto fans will say that this is in their advantage and that Cotto's been tested, but Paulie's still a novice, BUT what you have to be careful of is, is looking past Paulie. He DOES have a point when he says that he's given CLEAN beats to all his opponents. There hasn't been one opponent who Paulie has had trouble with EXCEPT the fights during which he's broken his right hand, AND EVEN THEN he's managed to win the fight pretty easily. I think that Paulie's shown an excellent foundation, and has won pretty much all his fights easily. Indeed he needs to step up the level of competition cos he's too good for who he's fighting, but Miguel Cotto is, as you've quite rightly said, one tough nut to crack. Cotto's camp, however, must be wondering what Paulie's gonna be like against Cotto, because no-one's seen Paulie at his actual very best..
