Is there any middleweight in history who could go toe to toe with GGG and beat him?

    ... would they beat him?

... I'm sure that Hagler would be the toughest... and maybe Mccallum too...

Hmmm I think Hagler would outwork Golovkin in a competitive decision.

McClellan vs GGG is a 50-50..... the later it goes the better Golovkins chances are, if it ends early then it's probably McClellan that wins it.

The jab battle would be key and I think GGG would have to be very defensively responsible all round cause the G-Man was ruthless to the body as well as head. Golovkin would have to box carefully early on for sure.... I don't think he'd do so well trading against McClellan who was a huge middleweight and probably a harder puncher.

... Let's be honest here: prior to 2010, nobody from the U.S. fought a top product of the "Soviet/Russian school of boxing" in a "pro" fight... Hence: nobody is entitled to hold a proven assessment...

Let's also be honest most of the US fighters of today are not as good as they were prior to 2010.... so it goes both ways.

There are a lot of guys over the years that would have no problem going toe to toe with GGG, but the ones I would love to have seen are McCallum, McClellan, SRR, and Hagler without question. All guys with granite chins and could crack.

                      ... I'm no Russian... tbh...

... but I can't understand just why the U.S. fighters would have been better (in the past) than the Russians, but now they just aren't... This doesn't make sense.
