Monroe please you ain't a top ranked fighter, and you STUNK up the joint against Rosado. The only fighter on the entire PPV undercard to get booed. And the idiots acting like anybody is ducking this idiot where bytching and crying a few weeks earlier saying if Canelo fights the winner of Rosado/Monroe that's BS. And you know why? Because both are C class fighters who have done nothing at middleweight, hold no belts and are absent from all top middleweight rankings. Canelo has much bigger fish to fry then this idiot who will run from Canelo anyway. Neither Rosada or Monroe deserved a fight with Canelo and damn sure neither guy was promised a Canelo fight. And Canelo has beaten fighters who do what Monroe does but at a world class level in Lara and Trout. Monroe is a C class version of Lara. He beats him pretty easily in a boring fight that nobody wants to pay a dime to see, especially anyone who bought Canelo's last PPV and saw this guy on the undercard.

Like others have said, Monroe is just a less talented version of Lara or Trout. And is boring for fans to watch, because he takes no chances. Plus, Canelo's people have a huge biz to run. Fighting a Monroe would not be a big gate or PPV for Canelo Co.

Oh please, only thing to fear is the viewers dying of boredom. Monroe doesn't deserve **** and he's just trying to get a good payday without legitimately earning one. He hasn't done anything since he quit like a little b***h against GGG and he can continue fighting cans like Rosado and Thompson, no way in hell he deserves a shot at Canelo, it'll make more sense for Lemieux to get the shot first not to mention it'll be a much more exciting fight as Lemieux loves to brawl and takes risks.

team alvarez did make a good point that if they are going to fight a fighter like monroe they are better off just taking a rematch with lara which i agree

I almost kinda agree with him. Canelo's team wants a showcase fight at MW and winning an ugly decision against Monroe doesn't do that and just gives the haters ammunition that GGG beat him worse.

Is Andy Lee with Haymon or is that a makeable fight? Not a lot of guys at MW that have a big enough name but pose small enough of a threat.

I understand where Monroe is coming from, but Canelo needs to fight a Rosado type fighter. Someone at a Class C level at middleweight that is going to try to **** with him. Stylistically, Monroe is all wrong for Canelo, even though Canelo may win, he probably won't win as impressively as GGG did. Go ahead and fight Rosado and take him out in 8 rounds with a body shot. If he can take Rosado's power, then move up to an Andy Lee, Peter Quinn type fighter and if he's impressive vs. them, then he can say that he's ready for GGG. But Canelo wasted time fighting Khan and Smith. Those two fights could of been against some class C fighters and his next two could of been against some B level fighters, just in time to fight GGG in September.

I didn't read the article I just had a laugh at the title. This guy barely won a snooze fest over a 23-10 in Gabe Rosado, I had it 115-113, Monroe needs to work on his marketability.
