GGG is slow, he has zero head movement, he didn't beat any good fighter, fighters who lost to him they actually have already lost before even got on the ring with him because they were scared. Look at GGG's resume it is full of nobodies, did I miss something?

He also was a betting favorite to take Gold in 2008.

He beat Paul Williams as a PRO! Im sure you have Lemuix rated higher than Williams. In fact you probably have Lemuix, Monroe, and EVERYONE GGG fights in the Boxing HOFame. Brook was a BIG WW and is actually a MW Isn't that what you said before???
No, you didn't mention the Olympics, and I know why, which is why I did it for you!

GGG has actually beaten a guy who won four gold medals - Mat Korabov - and he has won 3 gold medals and one silver himself. The silver was at the Athens Olympics, where he was hot favourite for gold but lost a very close decision in the final.

it is ridiculous to attempt to convince pundits that someone is " special "

that someone..... will either prove it, or they will not

just like every other fighter who was proven " special "

            keyword = proven

            you don't get to confuse " coulda's " with " did's "

to date, Golovkin has avoided fights with opponents who are MUCH better than the guys he has faced

And you can forget all that ducking bull****..... the fact is, Golovkin could have fought Ward, Golovkin could have fought Lara, Golovkin could have fought Canelo, Golovkin should have fought Cotto, and Golovkin likely could have fought Saunders/Jacobs as well..... but - for a pile of silly (sometimes absurd) reasons - he chose not to.

let me know when Golovkin makes an attempt to prove you right

            until then, meh

            there are levels in boxing
Golovkin as proven to me he's a special fighter.

Denying it is being a ****** or delusionnal, any pro boxer who actually sparred with him are saying dude is Something special.

Even Afolabi who is a cruiserweight champion said dude hit like a mule.

Murray, Bute in the ams, Geale (despite being a former unified champion IBF and WBA and beating guys like Sturm), Brook at 160, Ouma, Ishida are not special fighters.

GGG is, and that's why GGG stopped them in non competitive fight.

Thanks for your opinion. Eubank is a good fighter. But who has eubank beat that makes it such a good win for bjs in your opinion?

It's hard for me to explain and you're right it is my opinion. However my opinion on Boxers have proven to be right over & over compared to the ****** agenda driven posters on here.

He passes my eye test. He has an intensity, engine and skill set that are better than all of GGG opponents. He'd beat everyone on GGGs CV.

Like BJS mentioned, when's the last time someone held all 5 (wbc, wba, wbo, ibf, ibo) belts at once ? That's what he's close to pulling off and is now also only 3 wins away from tying Bhops record (20) for MW title defenses. Nobody criticized Hagler for remaining at MW his entire career so why knock GGG ? Some ssy he hasn't fought anyone on Cotto's level....please... remember GGG was Cotto's mando and MC ran like a scalded dog !! Took the easier fight (canelo) and lost.

                  cool story bro

only pond-scum fanboy's will credit Golovkin for beating Hopkins record by defending the WBA "interim" title

stop being silly, the WBA are about to remove those rubbish titles

who fkn cares what Afolabi thinks?

and, so what..... plenty of average-good, and even some poor fighters could "hit like a mule"

If you think that stopping "not special fighters" in a "non competitive fight" is a sign of greatness, then you are tripping..... in fact you know that is not true.

The very best way that I could describe Golovkin is this......

Golovkin is a terrific fighter who has promised the world but unfortunately delivered next-to-nothing, to date he is an underachiever..... he could be special, but he has no apparent drive for greatness..... Gennady is clearly a protected network darling, and he appears comfortable to continue playing that role. He will have a financially profitable career because of his style, but will not trouble the historians too much.

Nothing that I said is untrue billy, and you know it..... so don't be pulling that hater-card
