    Former IBF middleweight belt-holder, David Lemieux (35-3, 32KOs) takes on Cristian Rios on October 22nd at the Bell Centre in Montreal. If Lemieux should come out victorious as expected, his braintrust would like to see him get a particular bout in 2017.

        I think it'll be Saunders and not Lemieux! Either opponent will be good for Canelo's 1st fight @ 160.

          I think Canelo loses at 160. Lemieux is the second best out there IMO. Hes shown more heart and is a vicious puncher.. Canelo couldnt even Knock down cotto once, where Manny pacquiao has.

            Lemieux is a Golden Boy stable fighter -- he would take the payday and he will lose a "hard fought fight" vs Canelo (no matter the weight class)...

                  Supposedly Golden Boy wants Lemieux on the undercard of Miura vs Salido. If that happens my guess is Lemieux will fight Canelo in May if he wins.

                  Doubt it happens but Lemieux vs Stevens would be a good undercard fight or fight Willie Monroe.

                  Canelo should return at the end of January and fight Saunders for his move up in weight.
