any danger that kovalev is overlooking ward?

not much trash talk from kovalev and hes said hes not interested in watching or listening to ward. Is there a danger that kovalev underestimates ward and doesnt see him as a threat? Although his CV is lacking, ward is a good solid fighter and he is an awkward opponent for anyone.
Much like chilemba, ward doesnt have any power but can be an awkward customer. Is there a danger that kovalev is too relaxed for this fight, like he was chilemba, and it turns out to be trickier than expected?
With tough fights against proven power punchers like beterbiev, stevenson and perhaps usyk at cruiser around the corner, maybe kovalev could take his eye off the ball for this one, and ward may have a chance of pulling it off....

If Kov loses, it wont be because he overlooked Ward, headbutts, bad ref, etc.

It will be because Ward is better than him. Period.

No, I think Kovalev understands what's in front of him and sees the very real possibility that he's taking an L come 19 November...

I don't think so. Kovalev has a good trainer and they know what they will be facing.

Just cause Ward *****es every minute doesn't mean Kovalev is overlooking him cause he isn't saying much

Fairly subtle troll job, top marks.

As if Ward is simply 'awkward' and not one of if not the best fighter in the sport.

No. Every fighter claims they don't watch much tape on their opponents, don't study their opponents, and leave that to their trainers. those are just common things that most boxers say. it sounds kind of bad ass and confident, but the reality is that most of these dudes watch everything that is possibly available on their opponents (if they care about winning).

I think Kovalev is serious about this fight

he isnt making jokes, he acknowledged Ward would be his most difficult opponent, personally I think he is dialed in

will be the best Kovalev we've seen

Ward has a very good shot at beating him. 50/50 or 60/40 type fight

I favor ward but its not a shocker if Kovalev wins, but it wont be a decision, he'll have to crush him. Ward is the most elusive fighter in the game at the higher weights...it wont be easy

Ward isnt the type of guy to talk trash, he is a matter-of -fact type of guy
