Comments Thread For: Parker Viewed By UK Experts as Big Risk For Anthony Joshua

Kiwi heavyweight Joseph Parker is winning over the crucial British boxing market as their IBF world champion Anthony Joshua ponders who to fight next. Parker has the mandatory rights to fight Joshua, possibly as early as November 26 in Manchester, though the Brit's clever promoter Eddie Hearn is swaying towards a more lucrative bout with former champion Wladimir Klitschko.

He isnt but hes mandatory so he will have to fight him soon and because Joshua only fights on PPV now Sky have shown Parkers last few fights live and are currently trying to big up Parker into the biggest threat in boxing despite Parker being a 7/1 shot with the bookies.

Any fight is a risk for anyone. however im prett sure ot a big risk at all and next to Joshua seems small peanuts ,so im sure Parker will take that fight no matter what and try and go a different route to a Joshua showdown. either I don't see parker defeating Joshua or wlad in these growing years.

I just dont understand fighters nowadays. They cry like a babies about "risks". Ali had fought everybody that existed in his era. Thats why he is The greatest. Joshua should take big risks and fight Parker, Wlad, Ortiz, Wilder..

Funny, Oliver saying Wlad only had the one bad fight. Maybe he's forgotten about the Corrie Sanders, Ross Puritty and Lamon Brewster fights. Sure they were way back, but still.

Fans would certainly get a better, more explosive fight via Parker/Joshua, but there would be more interest in the Wlad/Joshua fight.

I can only imagine, with regards to the Brewster and Puritty fights - Oliver was taking into account the fact that Klitchko was comfortably winning both of those fights right up until the stunning KO's.

And the Sanders fight, well, that barely got started, so I don't know.

              Fair points, though.
