Cotto beat Sergio and Geale. A gimpy sergio and Geale are both much better fighters then Saunders. Before he fought Lee for the paper belt he fought a guy with a 17-27-2 record. That's not a typo! Saunders record is nothing but smoke and mirrors fighting no named bums in the UK. Hard core boxing fans don't even know most of these guys you fought and the fight before your title shot you faced a guy who didn't win 29 of his pro fights. Typical euro fraud without a single elite skill set that will get ripped in half by the first top fighter he faces. Class matter in boxing Canelo, GGG, etc are more proven against higher class opponents.

You need a wake up call.

Billy at MW, would be a far bigger threat to Canelo, than what a faded Cotto was.

Yes, he hasn't got a great resume. That's just circumstances. But his skill set is evident. He has great technical skills, and he has very good footwork which he creates great angles from. His southpaw skills would definitely cause huge issues to Canelo. Did you not see the Lara fight? Billy is not some bum, and he's a level above Liam Smith. This would be a real threat to Canelo, who hadn't even fought a MW yet.

The offer from K2 was low, and I don't remember him being offered a Canelo fight. When was that? Canelo hasn't even fought a MW yet.

Lara is a mover and Cotto tried to move and jab setting a career high in jabs. Both are much higher class fighters and technicians then Saunders. Canelo will take away his jab like he did Cotto and he will just end up running to avoid getting KO'd which won't win rounds. Or he will stop and fight in spots and get tagged and dropped. Either way he shows Canelo nothing he hasn't already seen from fighters who do what he does but better.

Cotto was small and faded.

Billy is young, fast, skilful, a fully fledged MW, and a southpaw.

How can you say he offers nothing that Canelo hasn't seen, when he hasn't fought a MW before?

The only thing we know about Saunders is he's bigger then them but he's fought laughable competition then those guys so we don't know how durable and skilled he really is. If Lara and Cotto who are far more skilled couldn't outbox Canelo I damn sure don't think Saunders will. If he was a power puncher then I would say being bigger is a huge advantage but this dude ain't coming to try and hurt Canelo and Canelo has faced harder punchers then this guy who is NOT a big puncher at Middleweight. Class matters people. Cotto destroyed Geale who might be GGG's best win of his career even though Geale was the bigger man. Because Cotto is just a higher class fighter. Looking good fighting bums 2-3 classes below world class level does nothing for me and won't help him against Canelo. But sure hype this man up like he has a shot and I will be here the next day when he gets destroyed by GGG and Canelo. One of the worst paper champs today who has been pricing himself out of fights all year because all he wants is to sell his belt to the highest bidder.

Many of these UK boxers really brag their ass off about what they are going to do to this guy or that guy. Then the fight happens and they get the hell beat out of them. Smith told the world how easily he was going to KO Canelo and look what happened to him. The same thing will happen to Saunders if he fights Canelo.

Canelo beats Saunders because he is a vastly superior fighter. You are another annoying bragging Brit. The UK is numerous countries not one country. Still I doubt you have more champions than the USA. Have you counted your champions lately? The UK is losing another champion damn near every weekend. You do have a few really good champions but must of them aren't very good. Canelo left two of your champions lying on the canvas like dead men so of course we will bring that up. Duh! There's no doubt about it would be one of top Alvarez oppoentns, but I wouldn't rank Saunders ahead of Lara, Trout or Cotto.

I honestly think he would be his 4th best opponent, being that he's an undefeated champion at 160.

I think you have to consider the weight.

Take Cotto for example. He's obviously more proven than Billy and he has a better resume. He's a great fighter of this era. But for me, Billy would be a much bigger threat at MW, than what Cotto was. Resumes don't come into it here. Canelo's never even fought a MW yet. Billy would be a huge threat to him.

Lol, Lara would dance around BJS letting him see only smoke, and Canelo had a close fight with Lara with he didn't lose, Canelo beats BJS, weakest champion @160.

Lara can dance around most people at times, but that would be a very hard fight for him. Like Canelo, he's not fought a MW yet.

I'd class Jacobs as the weakest belt holder. Weakest as in the less talented.

Canelo will utterly school him, it will be a breeze. People say Canelo has questionable stamina, Saunders is ****ed after 6 rounds in every fight.

Canelo will outbox, out-hit and ultimately stop him.
