Kovalev doesn't fall in but he does square himself up...and he drops his punches to his waist.

When he covers up...he leaves a lot of openings...it's like he's so used to having things his way he hasn't learned to properly defend.

Ward has dealt with more punchers than Kovalev.
Seems like they keep the Russian away from punchers.

I think people will be surprises how badly he whips Kovalev.

I don't know yet.It's a good point about Kovalev not having fought many punchers,I can only think of Boone,Pascal is respectable I guess.He looks of balance at times but slides in and out better than Froch and I think he isn't as stiff as Kessler.It's going to be good though I can't wait.

Wards best wins were Froch and Kessler.I won't count the shadow of Chad Dawson.Kovalevs best were old BHop and Pascal twice.I honestly don't think there's much difference.I do think it's gonna be interesting to see how Ward deals with a very hard puncher who's rangy,jabs to the body and doesn't fall in.We shall see.

The closest thing to Kovalev Ward ever faced is Kessler.

Kovalev is a dangerous puncher at the end of his punches lenght.

So Andre should try to rough him up on the inside like he did to Kessler.

I'm not sure about Kovalev being a good inside fighter.

Who the hell is Troy King? Who did that bum fight? Ward is the one that's gonna be in for a rude awakening when he can't fight dirty and is in with a live dog after so many years of not. KOvalev has fought decent competition at 175lbs...who the hell has Ward fought at LHW? I just hope it's not a foul and hugging fest. If Ward is kept at the end of KOvalev's punches and not allowed to rough house and foul he will lose. I'm rooting for KOvalev because of the dumbass afrocentrics like Troy Bum King.

Yeah ,I really don't think Kessler expected an inside fight like that was against Ward.Kessler is very upright ,no head movement and no uppercut.Froch has a good uppercut but no foot movement or bending from the waist.Kovalev will need to keep it at range,he is fairly flexible ,more than Froch and Kessler,an in out game and hope he can land a good shot to hurt Ward.It could be a battle of jabs ,and that lunging type left hook that Ward leads with,if Kovalev can defend it effectively.

Ward hasn't fought anyone of rank in almost 5 years , it's all about your recent fights that's why people go in on Danny Garcia even tho he had some tough oponents 3 years ago. So wards slightly better resume means nothing.

Bernard himself said Ward need to avoid the right hand.

Ward fought some puncher but never fought a puncher as Dangerous as Kova.

Chilemba gave Kova a tough night but Chilemba is 6.2, on the outside, Ward will be in danger.

Far from Sugar Ray Froch who beat dozen of ATG...
