The guy is good, but he has major flaws... I think we can all admit that.
I think what people don't like is his bitching about people ducking him. People didn't like Vivian Harris or Antonio Tarver either for doing the same thing; hinging his whole career on one fight.
Tarver and Harris were both irritants for their constant bitching. And like with Tarver and Harris, you have people saying Margarito doesn't deserve a shot. I think it would be great if Floyd fought him instead of Judah, but I also don't like when one person (obviously much bigger) wants to call out people much smaller...
But let's be realistic, there is Winky not too far north of him. I'm sure Winky would fight him after Taylor.
There are OTHER fights, but Margarito is persistent on making the Mayweather fight for some reason especially as Winky is often regarded highly on the pound for pound lists.

Hmm...I wonder why?
Because the man can fight. Flat out. It takes two people to fight, Margarito seems ready and willing for anyone. It's the other sides that aren't coming to the table.
So go ahead, hate on the guy some more.Last edited by BLOODSHED; 05-08-2006, 10:23 AM.Comment

Ding ding ding.
Floyd has shown no interest in fighting. There is Winky right above him and you don't hear a peep about Winky.
Originally posted by DLTIll say it again. If you cant get any fights then you move up in weight. Trust me, the guys up there will fight him easy. Let him go fight Ouma, Karmazin, Quartay, or whoever. All of them will fight him but he wont because he wont have the huge size advantage that he has at 147 and if he gets owned by Santos then you know what the big dogs will do to him.
He wants to stay at 147 because its his best weight? So, Floyd's best weight is at 140 but he's fighting at 147 and now wants to go to 154 so why cant Margarito do that if he's so tough? He wont do it because he wont have the huge size advantage that he has at 147 where most of the guys came from lower divisions. If they can move up then why cant he? Dont tell me that he cant get fights at 154.
If Floyd fights Oscar and Margarito beats even someone like Ouma then Floyd would have to fight him but the problem is that he knows if he moves up then he wont beat those guys and doesnt have that same power at 154Comment

Nah, cause Margarito doesnt want a 3rd fight, he was robbed in Germeny, and now the guy who domininated Ouma pulled out of their non-televised fight to fight Spinks.Originally posted by Super_LightweightDKT, you're a ****ing idiot, bro. Mayweather weighs 147 soaking wet. He wil never hurt Tony with any punch. Bringing up Santos is pointless, and Tony was not hurt 'many times' by him. Furthermore, Santos is not feather fisted. He has average power, and he lands a lot of shots and has a good style with those fast hands. Of course now he is going downhill, and part of that is why? The damage Margarito did to him.Last edited by IwatchBoxing; 05-08-2006, 11:00 AM.Comment

you can pull SoFlyyy's falice from your mouth now...regardless, what Margarito brings to the table is a gameness that is missing from so many fighters nowadays. If any of you have seen this man fight, he is exciting. This fool goes to work, period and doesn't stop until the fight ends. He keeps a frantic pace damn near the whole fight and keeps it exciting. It would be a great bout if both sides can come to an agreementOriginally posted by deliverymanLOL. SoFly just owned this thread. That is so, so, so very true.Comment

bolded in other words, means he's a critical component of boxing. And one couldn't use another example and say for instance: "Well so is Gatti, and I don't think he deserves another shot at Floyd".Originally posted by JDizzle79you can pull SoFlyyy's falice from your mouth now...regardless, what Margarito brings to the table is a gameness that is missing from so many fighters nowadays. Keyword: Another.
Margarito is an exciting fighter, who has been demolishing his opposition steadily, with the exception of the robbery TD against Santos. He's due.
