If you're talking about Nas, then I think you're confusing "slick" with unorthodox styling. While Nas moved in a snake-like way that conjures the word "slick", he's not what one typically refers to as a slick boxer. Which, is extremely solid fundamentals with attention to defense and counter-punching.

Roy isn't the best example of slickness either. Toney or Mayweather would be better examples of what people refer to as a "slick" fighter. Roy is the poster-boy for unorthodox athleticism, not necessarily slickness.

Being orthodox doesn't means you don't have talent, Bojado was a pretty orthodox fighter, but his talent was something out of this world.
And yes, Barrera talent is far better than Hamed's, and Prince was a hell of a talent, but don't let that showmanship fools you.

I mean, i have watched every single Jones pro fight an all his amateur fights that are available on the internet, i don't have a doubt about his talent, but i haven't seen him slip more than a 3 punch combination.

My English isn't good either, but i think athleticism, like you said earlier, fits well for the type of fighting you are mentioning.

Yea, I think athleticism would be a great question as I don't see a lot of Mexicans fighting on raw athletic ability, they are more about fundamentals and heart.
