why would roach announce this? He is undermining his fighter, perhaps Manny is 40! He is not going to train with the sam gusto that he did at 26. He could be blowing smoke, but Freddie has a habit of taking shots at Manny, somethings should stay in camp, I wonder if Manny reads some of these articles that Freddie is responsible for. I am not a huge fan of Manny, but the premise of this article is absolutely ridiculous, and unfair to the fighter
to sell a mismatch. they've done it in the past. trainers these days, especially for the very top flight fighters who are essentially paid by the ppv buys, have to function in part as promotors. freddie has been doing this for a while. they used to sell "distractions" on 24/7, if you recall. this is no different. it's just a storyline to sell a fight. if roach was genuinely concerned about pacquiao he would hush up about it. he's not going to put his prized pupil and life's work under the wheel of a bus.Comment

Some days are like that when you're damn near 40. Im 38, I know. Some days I feel 25 and some days I feel 55. For Pac's sake and for the fans sake that want to see a good fight, I hope fight night is a "feel 25" dayComment

Old fighter near the end ,,,, Freddie is doing the right thing Manny doesnt need to be grinding into the ground he needs to be fresh and sharp , at Mannys stage of the game training is more about recovery than work .Comment

not sure how this is gonna help boost up the sale? its not like vargas has a strong following. pac is the one that is gonna be selling this fight here. his fans are the one that will be buying it. if he doesnt look good, who wants to watch it? its not like manny is the bad guy here and vargas is suppose to come in and save the day.Comment
