Agreed. But Klitschko is still too slow, and consequently easier to box and ultimately hit.

Well no doubt Matchroom think Wlad is ripe for the picking and can beat him "better" than Fury did. They might be right though but they have to take into account that styles make fights and i don't think AJ has much that Wlad hasn't really seen before. If you strip away the Sky hype and huge fanbase, would anybody really say a guy who's best win might be Dillian Whyte is ready for Wlad, even at 40?

I also felt they thought Linares was there to be beaten and add a good name on Crolla's record because Mitchell give Linares a good fight, but Mitchell on his day was a much more talented fighter than Crolla and his style could trouble anybody. I could see a similar situation where they think Wlad is ready to be taken, only to realise their style actually suits Wlad quite well.

Plus let's not forget Klitschko isn't just an average heavyweight, he is by far the best of his time. If he has anything left, it could backfire on Joshua. It's a big if though.

I think exactly the same thing. If Joshua boxes smartly against an aging, slowing Wlad, he'll be able to get to his chin. And if that chin was not sturdy enough for the likes of Corrie Sanders (RIP) and Lamon Brewster, it won't be for AJ's punches.

See above. He was dominant in an era of absolute nobodies AFTER having been knocked out thrice. And, almost always, he personified ugliness in boxing action, although that grab-push-down-then-punch "style" paid dividends for him.

I agree but what has AJ proven to make him any different to the fighters of that era?

He might well be better than them, but there's no real evidence of it.

Well, he completely annihilated fighters who would have lasted much longer with other heavyweights; he's athletically gifted, certainly more agile than, say, Frank Bruno; he's confident. I feel that, for the Klitschko of nowadays, all of the above could be enough. If Wlad pulled a swan song win I'd be VERY surprised... and the first to eat a slice of humble pie!

              This wont happen

This could sell out Wembley Stadium. Why waste it at the O2 in November?

I'm not sure Joshua it that agile at all. Don't get me wrong, i can see him beating this version of Wlad but i'm not going to be surprised at all if he can't live up to his hype. He hasn't shown a lot yet. Can he fight going backwards, can he find a way past a great jab, can he cut a ring off, can he fight inside, deal with movement? granted he won't need some of these things against Wlad which is why he has a chance, but in general i'm not that sold on him. Can he even take a good shot? Whyte had him on ***** street and he went stiff for a couple of rounds and he only really clipped him. How does he deal with a straight right from a guy like Wlad? lots of questions to be answered.

I'd like to see him fight Haye actually, if Haye has anything left that is. I think that fight might answer a lot of questions about Joshua actually.

Mind you, I am not entirely sold on AJ, either. In fact, my theory just has to do with him probably beating the Klitschko of now. To answer all your questions, the same could be asked of any up-and-coming fighter until they find their level. This does not mean that Mike Tyson was on the same level of Buster Douglas or Danny Williams, though.
