No, that was proven to be a lie. Jack Kearns was bitter over getting fired so he made that up.

Experts who were there like Nate Fleischer, Red Smith, and various scientific experiments and film studies over the years proved Jack Dempsey was innocent.

    Dempsey just had monstrous power.

Fraud Mayfeather did cheat with IVs however. That was PROVEN.

Kearns said this later on when he and Dempsey had a grudge. There's no proof he ever loaded his gloves with anything. Jess Willard talked plenty of trash about Dempsey too, years after he got blown out. Haters have been forever.

Yep. Sore losers. They can't accept the fact that Dempsey in his prime was just that good.

Thanks. It's up to us to stop liars with agendas like Larry from defaming true legends and greats from the past!

Completely agree. Dempsey was a viscous mean SOB and a total man killer. Prime Jack was ready to go for 30 rounds and was an excellent finisher with his heavy handed power. Pacquiao's style is most akin to Dempsey's if that says anything. I see Wilder's length working against him. Dempsey breaks his body apart from the inside out. Wilder has never fought anyone like the animal Dempsey was. Fact.

Damn sure good enough to beat Wilder. The fact that anyone on here voted for him makes this site look pretty sad. This is an obvious, unanimous decision. Wilder or Dempsey? Dempsey without a moment to even think. I hold Dempsey as one of the best heavyweights ever and Wilder has proven he can punch and that's about it. Sad state of affairs.

Great post. Dempsey's power and conditioning was unreal. Stylistically he is a nightmare for Windmiller.

There's a reason why a young Mike Tyson said Jack Dempsey was his Hero!

Dempsey wouldn't fight at heavyweight today.

With that said Wilder's boxing is so flawed any puncher has a decent chance against him. It seems he has a hell of a time in every fight even the tuneups.

Sad indeed my friend. Wilder probably has the worst technique and form in HW history and has 0 defense. A true great like Dempsey or Marciano would have put him in a Coma.

Louis, Marciano, Dempsey etc would be rolling in their graves with embarrassment if they saw Windmiller fight today.
