Jacobs has an advantage that Golovkin doesn't

If GGG fights conservatively against big punchers I don't think he will bring 12 rds of intense pressure in the form of punch output. Jacobs can box very well and has power. That combination is bad for GGG because like you said he fights conservatively against big punchers. Jacobs would be the biggest puncher he has faced.I just don't see how Jacobs wins this. I still really dig the fight because it's going to be exciting as hell, but how does Danny win? By knockout?
Going into a fight with a punchers chance against a guy with a sturdy chin like Golovkin (who also fights much more conservatively against big punchers) just doesn't seem like good odds to me.
I can't see him winning a decision either, as it would mean he would have had to withstand 12 round of intense pressure. I don't think he's built to take that.
Hard not see Golovkin taking Jacobs out.
I didn't like the way GGG's chin looked in the Brook fight so I don't think Jacobs would have a hard time getting to it. I'm giving Jacobs the edge in this fight. I would say that Quillin and Lemieux are about equal and Jacobs destroyed Quillin in the first round.Comment

Damn, almost forgot. Outside of almost stopping Stevens in the last round, Brinkley also made Stevens take a knee in the 6th round. Based off this info alone, GGG should've knocked Stevens out cold. Weird. What I don't understand is not only has Stevens been dropped more than Danny, but he was stopped by a guy that was 19-15 who didn't even train for the Stevens fight before he stopped him.
Secondly, Stevens got dropped and almost stopped by N'dam who is not known for power whatsover.
Stevens was saved by the bell against Jesse Brinkley.
Why was GGG only able to drop him once, but couldn't finish him off like Marcos Primera did? Weird.

If you have a look at the Golovkin vs Lemieux Face off with Max Kellerman, Golovkin mentions that he was slowly punishing Stevens as a way of making him respect boxing because of the comments which Stevens made before the fight. Whether you choose to believe this is a matter of opinion but it is a frightening prospect for any fighter if in fact he was telling the truth. What I don't understand is not only has Stevens been dropped more than Danny, but he was stopped by a guy that was 19-15 who didn't even train for the Stevens fight before he stopped him.

When it comes to the Jacobs fight, I doubt that we'll see Golovkin use this tactic as I think Jacobs' power is enough for any fighter to respect and not feel comfortable to play around with. I think we will see both fighters trying to take the other out as early as possible and trying to avoid taking as many shots as possible. In other words, we should see the best out of both fighters in this fight, so I expect a knockout.Comment

Not to say this isn't true, but if it were true, then why did GGG try to stop him in the 2nd round?
This is just me, but somebody that you want to give a prolong beating too, after you drop them off a huge double left hook, you don't follow up with it and try to KO them or get a ref stoppage only in the 2nd round. That's just me.

Jacobs has to FREAKING CLINCH whenever he is on the ropes and try to keep this fight in the middle of the ring. Its his best option to win. If he gets on the ropes and doesn't clinch or smother GGG he is going to sleep.Comment

Maybe if Rozier fights him, lol.
What can he do, all he can do is guess cause his "other strategy with a totally different" boxer did not work.Comment
