Jacobs has an advantage that Golovkin doesn't

Daniel Jacobs' trainer, Andre Rozier, has gone against Golovkin before when Golovkin stopped Curtis Stevens. This is a crucial advantage that can honestly make or break Jacobs' fight particularly his strategy.

    What do you think?

It may be an advantage. I never really thought about it like that

I am curious as too what kind of neck exercises Rozier has Jacobs doing. You see FMJ and GGG training with the weight around their neck. This would be great preparation for Jacobs to strengthen his neck to take punches.

I liked hs tactic pulling Stevens out when he was taking an hammering though I doubt he'll need same tactics as Danny will be sparked cold.

I'm sure he has some sort of neck exercises incorporated into his training regardless. I read that they have been preparing to outbox Golovkin for a while. Jacobs could really pull this off imo if it is true.

What I don't understand is not only has Stevens been dropped more than Danny, but he was stopped by a guy that was 19-15 who didn't even train for the Stevens fight before he stopped him.

Secondly, Stevens got dropped and almost stopped by N'dam who is not known for power whatsover.

Stevens was saved by the bell against Jesse Brinkley.

Why was GGG only able to drop him once, but couldn't finish him off like Marcos Primera did? Weird.

            Where'd you read that?

            This is the secret

Andre Rozier kept telling Stevens stay in the center of the ring move in a tight circle like Pernell Whitaker and Cory Spinks used to do or push him back.I think he'll want Jacobs to box stay off the ropes

There is a lot of talk swirling around a possible middleweight showdown between unified champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) and Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29KOs). This match-up would take place on December 10th in New York.

Jacobs linked this on his twitter so it must be true. The last paragraph is where Rozier says that he has been preparing Jacobs for Golovkin since it was first announced that a match might happen. As to when that date was I have no idea...

Sure, I got that. I was referring to the "outbox GGG" part.

I envision Jacobs earning some respect and earning it early.

I just don't see how Jacobs wins this. I still really dig the fight because it's going to be exciting as hell, but how does Danny win? By knockout?

Going into a fight with a punchers chance against a guy with a sturdy chin like Golovkin (who also fights much more conservatively against big punchers) just doesn't seem like good odds to me.

I can't see him winning a decision either, as it would mean he would have had to withstand 12 round of intense pressure. I don't think he's built to take that.

Hard not see Golovkin taking Jacobs out.
