Is Cotto vs Brook at 154 intriguing enough to be ppv? And who wins?

If Cotto has anything left, he should beat Brook. I don't think he stops him like Golovkin did though.

I actually really wanna see this fight.

Cotto is not coming back for anything other than a HBO PPV fight that's obvious. Brook would fit after his fight against GGG. Dual PPV fight. Good choice.

Brook would win quite clearly in my opinion.

no way they're going to put brook in there with a guy with that kind of left hook in his first fight after getting his orbital bone broken.

brook's goign to get a soft touch in england and eventually be moved toward big fights. cotto is for sure a big fight, but they won't take it before they get brook a tune up, and certainly not in february of '17.

Well, you gotta keep in mind that Cotto's knees also like to give out and often ends up kneeled on the canvas himself.

I would definitely favour Brook in this one, it's a great fight. He's the better fighter on the outside, Cotto would have to look at breaking Brook down to the body and stopping him late, I can't see him winning if this goes the distance.

Cotto wins. He has fought nothing but top competition his whole career. Brook fought who? Thats right Shawn Porter. Lol.
Experience goes to Cotto. Power Cotto, speed even.
Brook is good. Just not that good.
People don't like Cotto playing his A side game but he has earned it from fighting top competition his whole career.
He is the 3rd biggest draw only behind Canelo and Pacman. He always comes to fight. You would think most people would love him because he is boxing friendly but it seems too many people dislike him for some reason and I truly do not know why. He has left everything in the ring everytime he fights except for maybe one fight and that was against Trout. Jmho

I think Brook wins. Cotto is well past prime and has been for a few years. His layoff won't help, he will be 36 when he returns.

He spent the last few years dining out on the fact he beat a disabled Martinez. He lost to Trout and Canelo, knocked out a drained Geale who had already been stopped by GGG and did a few other things but really the last part of his career as an elite fighter has been an illusion. He's been carefully matched and lost to any good healthy fighter he faced.

I don't see how at 36, after a year layoff he's going to be any better. It's only going to be down hill from here. Brook beats him at this stage.
